Bal & Yuva Sanskar
Every year about 250 shivirs
are organized all over the country where on an average 20,000
individuals participate. Workshops, seminars and meetings are
organized from time to time to inculcate moral, cultural and
human values in the families and all sections of the society.
These camps are well attended and discourses are given by
saints, scholars and thinkers.
During
the year 2006-07, 154 branches organised

Sanskar Shivir / Yoga camps
in which the total participants were 17,470.
Parivar
Sanskar
So far five national level Parivar Sanskar shivirs have been
held. The fourth National Parivar Sanskar Shivir was held
on 10-11 February, 2007 at Udaipur (Rajasthan) which was
attended by 120 delegates.
Fifth National Parivar Sanskar Shivir
Fifth National Parivar
Sanskar Shivir was held on 12-14 January, 2008 at
Vrindavan (U.P.). It
was attended by 589 delegates from all over the country.

The Shivir was inaugurated on 12th January, 2008 by
Mahamandlesahwar Sant Gyananand who as the Chief Guest.
Shri Naresh Prakash
Jain, ex-President of Akhil Bhartiay Vidvat Parishad
delivered the
inaugural speech. The
inaugural session was presided over by Shri Ram Sharan
Srivastava, National Vice President.
In the second session, presided over Dr. Prakashwari Sharma, there was
interesting discussion on issues relating role of family in
inculcating values among children, joint family system in
changed circumstances and causes for marriage discords. The
delegates also visited Barsana, Govardhan and Gokul.

On 13th January, 2008, the members belonging to Parishad's
Branches in Braj Pradesh presented fascinating cultural
programme. The Mahila Session on the 14th January was
presided over by Dr Ajit Gupta, Chairperson, Parivar Sanskar
Project. Shri Swadesh Arora, presided
over the concluding session and summed up the deliberations.

Praudh Sanskar
This project aims at
enabling retired persons to lead active, purposeful and
dedicated social life. So far 15 All India and a number of Zonal
Camps have been organised to motivate senior citizens to engage
in social work.

NATIONAL PRAUDH SANSKAR SHIVIR
15th National Praudh Sanskar Shivir of Bharat Vikas Parishad was organised at Katra
(J&K) from 29th Feb. to 2nd March, 2008.
251 Praudhs from different prants of the country attended the Shivir.

The Shivir was inaugurated 29th Feb, 08 by lighting of lamp by
the chief guest Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma Hon'ble Minister of J&K
Govt. assisted by Shri R.P.Sharma National Working President, Shri
I.D. Ojha, National Secretary General, Shri S. Ramanna, National Organizing Secretary and Shri R.P. Gupta Additional Secretary General.
Vande Mataram was sung by Smt. Sneh Gupta of Trikuta Nagar (Jammu)
branch.
In the Inaugural session Prof. Suresh Gupta, State President welcomed the guests. Shri I.D.Ojha gave details about Bharat
Vikas Parishad activities. The main speaker was Shri S. Ramanna who
spoke on "Old age is a boon". Hon'ble Minister Shri Jugal Kishore
Sharma stressed upon the Senior Citizens to work for the upliftment of
the country. Souvenir "Aashirwad" was released on this occasion. Presidential
remarks were given by Shri R.P.Sharma while the session was conducted by Prof. Satish Anand, National Secretary.
2nd Session was chaired by Shri I.D.Ojha, while Shri A.R.P.Sihna National Chairman spoke on "The necessity of holding Sanskar
Shivirs." The delegates were introduced by their group leaders.
On1st March, 08 3rd Session was chaired by Shri R.P.Gupta, National Additional Secretary General. A lecture on Yoga was
delivered by Shri S.K.Jain General Secretay Yoga Sansthan followed by
practial demonstration by Shri B.R.Gupta and Smt. Sushma Gupta. A lecture
on health by Dr. Subash Gupta, Ex-Principal Govt. Medical College,
Jammu were the highlights of the session. Quiz competition on BVP was
also held.
4th Session started with a lecture by Shri Suresh Chandra of Ghaziabad and
compered by Shri S.N.Sharma National Convener. Delegates were divided into 3 groups and group discussions were
held on the following topics : A : Role of Bharat Vikas Parishad in
eradicating social evils. B : Steps to expand Bharat Vikas Parishad at
branch level and C : Role of elders in giving Sanskars in a family. Cultural programme was presented by the school children of Katra branch in the 5th session. Shri S. Ramanna chaired the session.
Concluding session was chaired by Shri Varinder Sabharwal,
National Finance Secretary on 2nd March and conducted by Dr. Santosh
Gupta, Zonal Convener. In this session Dr. Harsh of Bikaner (Raj.)
spoke on "How to keep fit". Swami Hirdayanand Ji the chief guest spoke on
spiritual tips for Praudhs. Mementos were given to the local organizers.
Dr. Bishwanath Verma of Gaya (Bihar) was honoured for attending
12/14 Shivirs so far organized by BVP at National level. Mementos were
also given to the 1st and 2nd position holders of Quiz competition.
For the first time participation certificates were given to all the
delegates. The Shivir ended with the singing of National Anthem.
On 3rd Mach, 08 about 100 delegates were taken to Patnitop a beautiful Hill Resort, having immense
scenic beauty.

14th
NATIONAL PRAUDH SANSKAR SHIVIR
The 14th National Praudh Sanskar Shivir was
held at Suttur Math, Mysore from 23rd to 25th March 2007.
132Praudhs from J&K, Punjab, UP, Haryana, Bihar, Uttaranchal,
Orissa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka
attended the Shivir.
On 23.03.2007 the Shivir was inaugurated by
lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest, Sh. Subarna, Vice
Chancellor of Suttur Institutions assisted by Sh. R.P. Sharma,
National Working President, and Sh. S. Ramanna, National
Organising Secretary. Vande Matram was sung by women office
bearers of Bhardwaj Branch of BVP, Mysore.
In the first session, introduction of Math
and its Swamiji was given by Prof K.M. Veriah of Mysore. Prof
Satish Anand, National Secretary of the Project explained the
purpose of holding Paudh Sanskar Shivirs while Sh. R.P. Sharma
in his Presidential address gave details of various activities
of Bharat Vikas Parishad.
In the second session Sh Daulata Rao, Zonal
Chairman Zone XIV and XV spoke on the Sanskar Projects while Sh.
S. Ramana threw light on the various other projects of the
Parishad. This session was conducted by Sh. S. N. Sharma,
National Convener, of this project. The day ended with a
cultural programme presented by Mysore people. A Quiz on Hindu
Mythology was conducted for delegates.
On 24.03.2007, Yoga class was held from 6
am to 7 am. In the first session of the day, the delegates were
divided into three groups. Group discussions were held on the
following topics:-
1. Sampark Karya -
Conducted by Sh. R. P. Sharma
2. Praudh Sanskar Shivirs and various Seva Karyas:
conducted by Sh. S. Ramanna.
3. How can Praudh Sanskar Shivirs be more useful?
Conducted by Sh. Daulata Rao.
In the second session Sh. B.R. Pai, spoke
on 'Health Care for senior citizens' followed by a lecture on
'social harmony' by Dr. K.V. Acharya. From 6.30 to 8.00 p.m. -
the delegates were taken to Suttur Math Museum.
On 25.03.2007 - The day started with yoga
class from 6 am to 7 am. In the first session, time was devoted
to 'Mukt Chintan' where delegates sought clarifications on
various projects from Sh. R.P. Sharma who readily attended to
the queries. In the second session Dr. B.D. Patel spoke on 'How
to keep fit ourselves'? especially Praudhs. In the third
session, Justice M. Rama Jois spoke about importance of Praudh
Shivirs.
Local organizers of the shivir were given
mementos through Sh. Ananda Rao, Event Convener of the Shivir.
Sh T.G. Ranga Nath Sharma, Member National Advisory Committee
for Paudh Sanskar, Sh. N. Natrajan Zonal convener and other
members of Bangalore and Mysore branches also helped the Event
Convener for registration, in arranging different sessions,
staying arrangements, meals, refreshment and local sight seeing
etc. The programme ended with singing of National anthem.
