Branch organised BKJ on 13th
Nov.
in two schools. 280 students in junior and 120 in senior categories participated
in written test. Team of Shahid Ganj Public School Mudki Ferozepur stood first
and participated in State level competition on 4th
December 2011 in DAV College auditorium Abohar.
amil Nadu
: BKJ quiz was conducted on 18.12.2011. Students from 8 different schools
(seniors) and 7 school (juniors) comprising a total of 200 students
participated. All the students were awarded mementos and participation
certificates by the chief guest.

: State level BKJ was organized by Vikramaditya, Agra at Jubli Hall, Agra Univ.
Campus on 27th
Nov.
2011. 22 teams (11 junior and 11 senior) participated. Chief Guests were Prof.
Sugam Anand (National Secretary), Shri H.N. Chaturvedi (National Convenor) Shri
Kunjbihari Gupta (Zonal Org. Sect.), Shri Sanjeev Jain (Zonal Sect. Audit).
Vikram Upadhaya (M.D. HRC. Horizons) was guest of honour. Quiz masters were Dr.
R.K. Awasthi and Arun Yadav. Programe was conducted by Dr. Divya Lehri (Prantiya
Gen. Sect.) and Shri Akhilesh Yadav (Prantiya Org. Sect.)
Malerkotla,
Punjab East :
Branch organized BKJ in which 300 hundred students from 7 schools participated
in written test. In quiz contest Sohrab Public School got first position in
senior group. In junior group team from S.S. Jain Girls High School got first
position.
Chandigarh
South-I :
Organised a written test of BKJ in 6 schools on 05.11.2011. 520 students (245
Jr. 275Sr.) sat for the written competition. A team of two students from each
school who stood first and second in the written test participated in the quiz
competition on 15.11.2011 in Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector-47. In the
junior category the team of Govt. Model Sr.Sec. School Sector-47 stood first and
High School Karsan stood second. In senior category a team of Govt Model Sr.
Sec. School Karsan stood first and team of Govt. High School, Sector-47 stood 2nd
.
Prizes and certificates were distributed to first and second teams. Shri Ajay
Dutta National Secretary (Vistar) was the chief guest and Principal of the
school presided over the function.
Dr. Kitchlu,
Ludhiana, Punjab North :
Branch organized the Inter School quiz contest 2011-12 in the auditorium of
Partap Public School on 26.11.2011. Out of 5 schools joining the quiz contest,
four teams participated in each of the junior and senior category. The first
prize in the junior category was won by Partap Public School, while in senior
category, the first position was scored by GRD Academy. The Chief Guest of the
function, Dr. Mrs. Ramesh Inder Kaur Bal, Director, Partap Institutions of
Education appreciated the good work being done by BVP.
Shahpurkandi :
Ist stage
was conducted in 8 different schools. About 600 students participated in the
written test. On 25.11.2011 quiz competition was conducted at Auckland Public
School. 8 teams in junior and senior wings participated. In junior wing Harsh
& Sahil got Ist
position and in senior wing Bhavna Bharti & Shikha stood Ist.
Shri Rajesh Kanda Vice Chairman of Auckland Public School distributed the
prizes. Mrs. Anjali Josrotia Principal of the school thanked & praised BVP for
conducting quiz competition.
Delhi North:
State level competition was organised on 10.12.2011 at Abhinav Public School
Pitampura. 80 students from 15 schools sat for written test for junior and
senior categories and then quiz among top 4 teams was held. The results :
Junior: Govt. Boys Sr.Sec. School Prashant Vihar. Senior: Govt. Pratibha Vikas
Vidyalaya Shalimar Bagh. Secretary General S.K. Wadhwa, Dr. K.L. Gupta Finance
Secretary graced the occastion with their presence. West Patel Nagar branch
organised this activity in 9 schools at branch level wherein 5000 stududents
participated.
Karimganj, Assam
: Branch
organised BKJ written test on 04.09.2011at Babyland English Medium High School
and St. Joseph's School Badarpur. 431 students in junior & senior groups
participated. BKJ quiz competition was held on 25.09.2011 at Karimganj College
Auditorium inaugurated by Prof. Dilip Sen Gupta. In junior group Saraswati
Vidyaniketan secured first position. In the senior group Tara Bhusan Pal Junior
College of Science got the first prize. The program was sponsored by Gautam Deb
Ray, member of the branch while the prizes were sponsored by Shri Prasanta
Choudhury President of the branch.
Karnataka South:
Prant level BKJ competition (2011/12) was held on 27th
November 2011 at the Holy Town of Sringeri where Adi Shankaracharya established
the first of the four mutts (Sharada Peetham). The event was inaugurated by Shri
Sripadarao of Sharada Peetham. Shri N.Daulath Rao, National Add. Org. Secretary
and Shri A.S. Nataraj, Prant President were present along with other eminent
dignitaries of Sringeri. The quiz master was Shri Gopi Madhav. The first prize
in the junior category was bagged by Govt. Higher Primary School, Sringeri, and
in senior category by Govt. High School, Police Qtrs. Magadi Rd. Bangalore.
Second, third and consolation prizes were also awarded to other deserving teams.
The event was marked by suitable words of advice and encouragement to
participants by the chief guests, guests and other dignitaries. The competition
was excellently hosted by Sringeri Shakha. The function came to a close after a
glittering cultural programme featuring Dances by budding artists of Sringeri.
Jharkhand
: State level BKJ 2011 was held at S.K.P. Vidya Vihar auditorium, Deoghar on
11.12.2011 organised by Deoghar branch. 21 teams (senior & junior) participated
from 12 branches of the state. Delhi Public School, Dhanbad and Vananchal Shishu
Vidya Manidr, Hazaribag were the winners of junior & senior group resp. The
chief guest Shri U.S. Singh IAS, SDO, Deoghar in his speech praised BVP a lot
for such sanskar based activites and advised to perform several times in a year
which can make the children sanskarit. Shri G.P. Singh, National Convener
(vistar) briefed at lenght about the different activities of BVP. State General
Secretary P.K. Ambastha briefed about the importance of Sanskar Prakalp in
general and BKJ in particular. Shri Abhay Kant Prasad, Ex. BJP President,
Jharkhand, Ex. MP and member Jharkhand Coord-Committee was thrilled to witness
the programme. Mr. Prasad gave away the prizes. Guest of honour was Dr. N.C.
Gandhi.

Mayurvarma, Karwar, Karnataka North :
State level BKJ quiz contest was held on 16.10.2011. 22 teams from 16 schools
participated. For the first time in the country BKJ was held in the regional
language Kannada also. Inauguration of the event was done by the Deputy
Director, Public Instructions, Uttara Kannada District, Shri S. Jayakumar.
National Convener and State level Office Bearers were present. The Patron of
branch Octogenarian Dr. S.R. Pikle, presided over the closing ceremony. The
President of Karwar Municipality and a prominent philanthropist Ganapati Ulvekar,
who hosted food for the entire programme was honoured.
Belgaum : BKJ competition of branch was
held at GG Chitnis English Medium School on 2nd
October 2011. Herwadkar English Medium School
scored highest marks and bagged the first place. In all 80 students and 8
schools took part in this project. Shri Shevantilal Shah, Educationist and
Chairman of Dnyan Deep Educational Institute, was invited as the chief guest.
Shevantilal Shah was felicitated and honoured with shawl, memento and flowers by
the President Smt. Sukhad Deshpande, on his 75th
birth day, as also for valuable services to the
society through various organizations.
Vidyaranya, Bangalore, Karnataka South :
Branch level competition of BKJ was inaugurated by R. Chandrasekharaiah, member
BBMP Bangalore City corporation on 05.11.2011. 27 teams participated.
The quiz was conducted by S.V. Nagaraj, event convener and Smt. A.R. Lakshmi,
Secretary. The teams from Government High School Police Quarters and S. Cadambi
Vidyakendra bagged the 1st
prize in senior and junior wings respectively.
Prizes were distributed by A.S. Nataraj, President (K. South).
Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch
organized BKJ competition jointly with Kathara, Gairmajarua & Gomia branches on
25.09.2011 at Station Club. 40 teams of senior & junior groups of 30 schools
participated. Earlier about 4000 students participated in the school level exam.
The (NC Vistar) Er. G.P. Singh, CE, DVC, BTPS gave away prizes to the selected
teams, teachers, participants, quiz masters and others. He was assisted by the
state G.S.P.K. Ambastha and they addressed the audience. The manch sanchalan
was done by Smt. Rinki Prasad.
Viswaswarya (Varanasi), Kashi Pradesh :
Branch organized BKJ in which 530 students of 9 schools of Varanasi participated
. The competition was organized in two groups of 6-8 junior & 9-12 senior.
Goalpara, Assam : Branch organized BKJ
quiz competition on 25th
September 2011. 14 teams participated in the
competition held in two groups junior and senior. The anchors were Prof. Mantu
Das & Prof. Dhananjoy Medhi of Goalpara College. In junior group Sainik School &
in senior group Sankar Dev Shishu Niketan School, secured first position.
Kokrajhar : Branch organized BKJ quiz
competition on 25th
September 2011. 11 teams participated in
competition held in two groups junior and senior. The anchor was Shri Ashok
Singh, Joint Secretary. In both junior & senior groups Boby land H.E. School
secured first position.
Birjhora : Branch organized BKJ quiz
competition on 29th
October 2011 at Birjhora Girls M.V. School. 14
teams participated in the competition held in two groups junior and senior. It
was inaugurated by Hon'ble Dr. Kesabh Narayan Dev Sarma, State Advisor. In
junior group Shri Sankardev Sishu Niketan School stood first and in senior group
Hindi H.S. School secured first position.
Abhayapuri : Branch organized BKJ quiz
competition on 2nd
October 2011 at Shri Sankardev Shishu Niketan
School. 16 teams participated in the competition in two groups junior and
senior. Results : in junior group Shri Sankardev Shishu Niketan School secured
first position and in senior group Abhayeswari H.S. & M.P. School stood first.
Barpeta Road : Branch organised BKJ
quiz competition at Sankardev Shishu Niketan on 02.10.2011. 24 teams
participated. In senior group the 1st
and 2nd positions were bagged by the teams of
Marian School and Sankardev Shishu Niketan respectively while in junior category
the teams of Manash Villay Academy and St. Maryas School were placed 1st
and 2nd
respectively. Prof. J.L. Nahata was the chief
guest.
Dhubri : BKJ quiz competition for
school and college students was organized on 23rd
Oct. 2011 in the District Library Auditorium. The
chief guest was Shri S.K. Deb, Chief Manager State Bank of India. Dr. H.A.
Rashid presided over the function. 62 teams from different schools and colleges
participated. In the junior group Bethal Baptist Mission School, S.P. English
Medium High School got the 1st,
2nd
prize respectively. In the senior group S.P.H.S. School
and Happy Convent School got 1st &
2nd
prizes respectively. The Bank sponsored the prizes. State
Bank of India has agreed to sponsor the teams in the state level quiz
competition also.
Bhubaneswar Central, Odisha : Branch
arranged BKJ quiz competition on 16th
Oct. 2011 at Subarnarekha Chamber. In junior team
10 schools and in senior 11 schools took part. Shri L.K. Mohanty Zonal Secretary
was appointed as observer. Mementos were given to the winners and certificates
to all the participants.
Trikuta Nagar, Jammu & Kashmir : Bahu
and Trikutnagar branches jointly conducted BKJ quiz competition on 3rd
Nov. 2011 at Govt. Middle School, Railway Colony
Jammu. There were three teams for junior upto 8th standard and one team of
senior above eighth standard. Team of S.O.S. Home middle school Channi was
declared winners followed by Coooperative School as second. Prof. Satish Chander
Anand spoke on the relevance of this competition. Trophies were distributed.
Chandigarh West-I, Punjab East : Branch
organized written competition on 29.10.2011 for 12 schools. 700 students from
both wings participated. Oral competition was organized in Govt. Model High
School Sector-41. The result : 1st
Govt. Model Senior Sec. School-37-B, 2nd Govt.
Model Sr. Sec. School-35-D. Senior wing : 1st
position Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School Sector-35-D, 2nd
position Govt. Model High School Sec.-36. All the
fourteen winners were honoured with the prizes and also all the 40 participants
with mementos. The Govt. Sr. Sec. School Sector-37-D was honoured for maximum
number of students that appeared in the written competition. The host school was
also honoured with a memento.
Chandigarh South-I : Branch organized a
written test in 6 schools on 05.11.2011. 520 students participated (245 junior &
275 senior categories.) A team of two students from each school who stood first
and second in the written test participated in the quiz competition on

Sector-47-A 2nd.

students in senior category participated in written test held on Oct. 14, 2011.

Janakpuri Main, Delhi South : Branch
organised BKJ in 6 schools. 1000 junior & 500 senior students participated. The
convener of the competition was V.S. Gupta.
Gujarat North : Prant organised an oral
exam of BKJ on 20.11.2011 in the auditorium of Kankuba of Shardaba Shanskar
Bhavan Chansma. 40 students of 20 teams from different villages of Primary &
Secondary Schools participated. Mehsana Distt. Bank Asst. Jr. Manager Manubhai
Patel, Kirtibhai Patel, Chief Officer Chansma Rajendrabhai Patel were present as
guests. Winners were honoured by presentation of trophy etc. by the chief
guest.
Mapusa, Goa :
Branch organized quiz competition at Saraswat Vidyalaya Khorlim on 20.11.2011
for junior and senior category. 9 schools in senior and 3 in junior categories
participated. Mahendra Ghosarwadkar conducted the quiz competition. Shanta
Vidyalaya secured the championship in junior category and G.S. Amonkar Vidyalaya
were the winners in the senior category. Sanjeev Dharwadkar, Headmaster of
Saraswat Vidyalaya distributed the prizes and certificates.

Maharashtra Coastal-I: BKJ quiz
competition was organised at Modern School sector-7 Vashi on 25th September
by Vashi and Nerul branches jointly. 18 schools participated with 170
students. After the written test selected eight teams were asked questions in
three rounds.In final quiz all four teams in each category had to face more
rounds of visual and audio questions. Prize distribution function was graced by
the chief guest Smt. Manisha Andhansare, Principal St. Xavier's High School
Nerul. The result is first Fr. Angel Multipurpose School, Vashi; second Sainath
English High School Vashi. Senior category first Sainath English High School
Vashi, second ICL High School, Vashi. A set fo books, pertaining to Swami
Vivekananda was given to each school, as a gift along with participation
certificates.

Naraina Vihar, Delhi
North : In BKJ
competition held on 30th
August 2011 four
schools participated. More than 300 books of BKJ were distributed to these
schools for preparation. This programme helped students to know about Indian
culture and history. All the winners were given certificates and prizes on
Teachers day on 5th
September 2011.
Agartala East & West,
Tripura : Branch
conducted a quiz competition at Ranibazar town conference hall on 10.09.2011.
600 students with their parents attended the function. Headmaster Manoranjan
Bhowmick delivered his welcome speech. Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Group stood
first & Runners up was Rishi Aurobindo Group. Consolation prizes were awarded to
all the participants as headmaster offered a sum of Rs. 2001.00 as a token of
donation.
South Guwahati, Assam :
Branch arranged NGSC and BKJ quiz competition on 4th
September 2011 in
which four schools participated. Modern English School, Kahilipara stood first
both in Hindi and Sanskrit. In BKJ Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Lalmati team stood
first both in junior & senior divsions.

Branch organized BKJ on 03.11.10 in 6 schools. 525 students participated in the
written test. 6 junior and 6 senior teams then participated in quiz competition
organized on 15.11.10 in Government senior secondary model school, sector-47,
Chandigarh. Trophies to first and second teams were presented. One senior and
one junior team from the branch participated in the state level competition held
on 21.11.10 at Patiala.
Himachal Pradesh : State level BKJ was
organised by Palampur branch on 12.12.10 at girls senior secondary school
palampur. 7 teams participated. Auchland home team stood Ist in competition
Chief guest was Hon'ble MLA Vipin Singh Parmar.
Delhi North : State level BKJ
competition was organised on 19.12.10 at Nav Bharti Public School Pitampura. In
junior group NAV Bharti Public School and in senior group PGDAV Sr. Sec. School
were graced by Sudesh Bhasin MC and Usha Gupta MC. 250 people were
present at the function and the activity was grand success.

Jharkhand : Prant organised BKJ on
21.11.10 hosted by Bokaro Thermal branch at station club B.T.P.S. 32 schools
both in Senior & Junior groups of 16 branches participated in the competition.
Pitts Modern School, Gomia (Kathara branch) and Denobilee School, Chandrapura (Chandrapura
branch) won the winners shield in senior & junior group resp. The chief guest
was state patron Er. G.N. Singh, Chief Engineer & Project head D.V.C., and quiz
masters were Er. U. Chaudhary & Er. Jayanti Tripathy. He was accompanied by the
Z.O.C. Er. G.P. Singh, zonal secy Dr. Balmiki Kumar, State V.P. Er. Anil Kumar &
State G.S. Er. P. K. Ambastha. The chief guest in his address lauded the
contributions of BVP in the field of Sanskar & Seva.
Malaprabha (Dharwad), Karnataka North :BKJ
quiz competition was held on 28.08.10 at KNK Girls High School auditorium. 12
high school students participated. The function was inaugurated by Shri Girish
Padaki Block Education Officer. Shri Wilson Maily Principal presided over the
function. Shri Manjunath Hugar conducted the competition under the leadership of
quiz master Shri Vidyapati Havanur.
Belgaum : On 24.11.10 Childrens' day
was celebrated at the Audtitorium of Lions Club. Shri Vinayak Lokur, Shri Amit
Soundalgekar and Shri Anil Islampure were the chief guests. Branch President
Anand Kulkarni explained the BKJ quiz competition to students and requested them
to utilise the knowledge given in the book to enrich their knowledge. On this
occasion BKJ books were distributed among the students free of cost. Shri N.B.
Deshpande, Secretary extended the vote of thanks.
Karnataka South : Prant level
competition was conducted at Malavalli, Mandya District, on 21st Nov. 10. It was
inaugurated by Shri Aswathanarayana, member of the Legislative Council, and
hosted by Malavalli Shakha. 21 teams in senior and 14 teams in junior category
participated. Shri Gopi Madhava quiz master enlivened the event equipped with
computers, LCD projectors etc. Hymanshu High School, Florence High School and
Sadvidya High School bagged the first, second and third prizes respectively in
the senior category. In the junior category, Vidya Mandir, Govt. High School,
Police Qrs. and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Madikeri were the Ist, IInd prize winners
respectively.
Vidyaranya, Bangalore : BKJ competition
was held at Shri Bharatiya Vidyalaya on 30th October 10 inaugurated by Shri U.N.
Bhat, Chairman of Vidyalaya. Shri K.V. Narahari introduced the Chief Guest. Shri
B.V. Rao, President spoke about the importance of the event and the role of BVP
in Seva and Sanskara. In his address Shri Bhat stressed upon the value system to
be adopted by students and praised the work of the Parishad. As many as 58
students from 15 schools participated in the quiz ably conducted by the convener
Shri S.V. Nagaraj. Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest and special
invitee Shri Mahendra Munot, Proprietor, Maruthi Medicals, who was honoured on
Foundation Day 2006. Florence High School, Basaveshwarnagar, bagged the first
prize in senior category and Govt. High School, police quarters, Magadi road, in
the junior category.
Valmiki Ramanagara : Branch jointly
whith choodalingegowda group of education and society, organised BKJ on 13.11.10
at Patel English School. The institution is supplying an ancient historical book
of Bharat Darshan to every school in tuluk, written by Nityananda Shanai. Chief
Guest Shri B. Umesh, Vice President of town municipality called everybody to
give their support to such programmes and also praised about free treatment to
36,000 patients through eye checking camps. Out of 5 teams Harshitha and A.H.
Ravikiran of Vasavi School got the first place. Sagar Gowda and Bharati of Patel
English School were second which Chaitra and Rakshit of Shantinikethana stood
third. In senior level out of 6 teams Patel English School got first place.
Shanti Nikethan second and Bhagyashree Pre-university college third.
Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra-I : Only top 8
schools, out of 13 participating schools, were selected to go into preliminary
quiz. Nerul and Vashi branches of Navi Mumbai jointly organised BKJ at modern
school sector-7 Vashi on 3rd October 2010.105 students participated. The
results: junior category first prize Ryan International School, Sanpada, senior
category first prize Sainath English High School, Vashi. Each participant was
given a book titled

as a gift, along with
participation certificate.
Malerkotla, Punjab East : Branch
organised a written test of BKJ on 25th Oct. and the quiz on 3rd Nov. 10. 8
teams in senior and 6 in junior category participated. In senior category
students of P. school and in junior category Sarvahitkari vidya mandir won first
position and were honoured.
Khanna, Punjab North : Branch organized
BKJ quiz contest for junior and senior school students. 1500 students from 21
schools took part in written test which was held on 30.11.10 at Dayanad hall of
A.S.Sr.Sec. School. Shri Guru Gobind Singh Future Foundation Public School
Macchiwara team stood 1st in senior category.
Shahpurkandi Township : Branch
organised BKJ (written) in 6 schools. 371 students participated both in Senior &
Junior groups. In quiz competition 24 students took part. Mrs. Sukhjit Kaur
Principal of Shri Ram Vidya Mandir presided over other function.
Sriganga Nagar, Rajasthan North : Held
a quiz competition of BKJ on Nov. 17.10. Shri Chiman Lal Sharma was the chief
guest. 5 teams participated.
Gujarat North : Prant organised an oral
exam of BKJ with main aim to provide general knowledge regarding Indian culture
& Sanskar on 10.10.10 in the auditorium of K.K. Girls High School Patan. 44
students of 22 teams of Primary & Secondary schools participated. Distt.
Education Officer Shri Naishdhbhai Makwana was the chief guest. In secondary
vibhag Vividhlaxi Vidyamandir & in primary Vibhag C.K. Mehta Primary school were
honoured with trophy. School dresses were distributed to 45 needy poor girls of
K.K. Girls High School by Patan branch.
Shivalik, Jammu & Kashmir : BKJ
competition was organized on 20th October 10 at Adarsh Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sr.
School, Chhanni Himmat. Dr. Subhash Gupta President J&K Prant, presided over the
function. Ritesh Kapoor, administrator of the school while delivering welcome
address, highlighted the regular interaction of BVP with the school in
inculcating 'Sanskar" in young blood. 7 teams participated in the competition.
Jodhamal Public School stood first in senior level whereas Maharishi Vidya
Mandir stood first in Junior level.
Jammu West : Branch organised BKJ at
K.C. Public School on 15th Nov. 10, presided over by Prof. Satish Anand,
National General Secretary Proudh Sanskar. Chief Guest was Shri R.D. Thakur,
Principal of the Institution. In junior wing K.C. Public School Akhnoor road,
Jammu stood Ist while in senior wing Govt. Mr. Sec. School, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu
got Ist position.
Pranavananda, West Bengal : Branch
organised an Inter School quiz competition of BKJ at Beachwood school, city
centre, Durgapur on 4th Dece. 10. Students of 15 schools from different parts
participated in the competition. Shri Kamalendu Mishra, Personnel Officer, Alloy
Steels Plant, conducted the quiz in an apt manner. Winners St. Michael's School
and Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya were awarded the prizes by Shri G.P. Singh, zonal
convener.
Anakapalli, A.P. East : State level BKJ

13 teams each in junior & senior categories participated. In juniors
Visakhapatnam and in seniors Kakinada branches stood first. Shri B. Atchutharao,
ACP Visakhapatnam South was the chief guest for the valedictory function.
Birjhora, Assam : Branch organised BKJ
on 26th September 10 in the auditorium of Bongaigaon Rly. Institute. In the
senior and junior wings Sankardev Shishu Vidya Niketan stood first. Mr Samira
Das Principal Bongaigaon Rly L.S. School was the chief guest.
Palampur, Himachal Pradesh : The state
level BKJ partiyogita was conducted on 12.12.10. Seven teams paticipated from
different branches. The team from Aucland House School Shimla was declared 1st
in this event. The said team was represented by miss. Lakshita Thakur and
Vijeyata Chouhan. Yash Mahajan Incharge Sanskar North zone, was also present.
Vipin Singh Parmar MLA Sullaha constituancy was the chief guest of the event.

Malaprabha (Dharwad), Karnataka North :
BKJ quiz competition was held on 28.08.10 at KNK Girls High
School auditorium. 12 high school students participated. The function was
inaugurated by Shri Girish Padaki Block Education Officer. Shri Wilson Maily
Principal presided over the function. Shri Manjunath Hugar conducted the
competition under the leadership of quiz master Shri Vidyapati Havanur.
Vidyaranya, Bangalore, Karnataka South :
BKJ competition was held at Shri Bharatiya Vidyalaya on 30th October 10
inaugurated by Shri U.N. Bhat, Chairman of Vidyalaya. Shri K.V. Narahari
introduced the Chief Guest. Shri B.V. Rao, President spoke about the importance
of the event and the role of BVP in Seva and Sanskara. In his address Shri Bhat
stressed the value system to be adopted by students and praised the work of the
Parishad. As many as 58 students from 15 schools participated in the quiz ably
conducted by the convener Shri S.V. Nagaraj. Prizes were distributed by the
Chief Guest and special invitee Shri Mahendra Munot, Proproetor, Maruthi
Medicals, who was honoured on Foundation Day 2006. Florence High School,
Basaveshwarnagar, bagged the first prize in senior category, and Govt. High
School, police quarters, Magadi road, in the junior category.
Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra-I : Only top 8
schools, out of 13 participating schools, were selected to go into preliminary
quiz. Nerul and Vashi branches of Navi Mumbai jointly organised BKJ at modern
school sector-7 Vashi on 3rd October 2010.105 students participated. The
results: junior category first prize Ryan International School, Sanpada, senior
category first prize Sainath English High School, Vashi. Each participant was
given a book titled

Gujarat North : Prant organised an oral
exam of BKJ with main aim to provide general knowledge regarding Indian culture
& Sanskar on 10.10.10 in the auditorium of K.K. Girls High School Patan. 44
students of 22 teams of Primary & Secondary schools participated. Distt.
Education Officer Shri Naishdhbhai Makwana was the chief guest. In secondary
vibhag Vividhlaxi Vidyamandir & in primary Vibhag C.K. Mehta primary school were
honoured with trophy. School dresses were distributed to 45 needy poor girls of
K.K. Girls High School by Patan branch.

826 students of Primary School and 1159 of H. Sec. School gave the exam on
15.08.10.
Karimganj, Assam : Branch organized
quiz competition on 12th September 2010 at Karimganj College auditorium. 10
teams participated in two groups - Junior and Senior. It was inaugurated by Dr.
Manash Das, Hon'ble Chairman, Karimganj Municipal Board. Baby Land English
School bagged 1st prize in the junior group while Saraswati Vidya Niketan H.S.
School in senior group. The entire programme was sponsored by our President Shri
Prasanta Kumar Choudhury in memory of his beloved brother (Late) Niranjan
Choudhury.
Agartala :
Branch conducted the BKJ
quiz competition at Ramakrishna Sarada Ashram Nivedita Vidyapith School
conference hall of Briddanagar, Ranibazar on 11th Sept 2010. The state Vice
President Smt. Manjulika Deb Barman the renowned educationist and a well known
social worker presided over the function. The Ashram head respected Praggya
Mayee Maataji was the chief guest and the Head Mistress Brahmmacharini Smt. Runu
Dey was the special guest. All the students and their parents were in the hall
including quiz participants in 4 groups namely Vivekananda, Netaji, Rabindranath
& Bidyasagar. The zonal Sanskar Secretary North East Smt. Jaba Dhar delivered
her welcome address. Smt. Aditi Bhattacharya conducted the function as a young
host. Shri Madan Mohan Saha was the quiz Master. The chief guest motivated the
students to give more and more attention to their study as well as general
knowledge to improve the smartness and intelligibility. Winners were awarded
prizes.

On 13.12.2009 BKJ programme was conducted in training and development centre,
vizag steel plant, vizag in which branch sponsored students of Shri Gurajada
School, Kumari K. Indira and Mr. K. Chaitanya got state second prize in the
senior group. Branch President, Secretary, Treasurer and concerned chairman of
the BKJ participated in the state programme.

Jammu & Kashmir :
Organized Prant level quiz competition in which ten teams each in senior and
junior category participated. In the senior category the 1st, 2nd and third
positions were bagged by the teams of J.K. Public School Panj Tirthi, Vimal
Public School and Maharshi Vidya Mandir Sainik colony respectively while in
junior category the teams of Jagriti Niketan Kachichawni, K.C. Public School and
Govt. Middle School Guwahati were there in order of merit. The Chief Guest Prof.
Balbir Singh of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, appreciated the efforts of
BVP to infuse the spirit of Nationalism. The teams were presented mementos and
certificates of appreciation.
Dharwad, Karnataka
North :
Branch participated in the quiz competition conducted at state level on
08.11.2009. The senior team students from Rajasthan Vidya Kendra Dharwad bagged
the first prize.
Pilani, Rajasthan
North & East :
BKJ Pratiyogita was held for the first time on 18.10.2009. The branch is a new
branch in North & East Rajasthan. First round of the competition was conducted
in nine schools in which about 550 students appeared in senior and junior
categories. The next round, a quiz, was held on 19.11.2009 at Saboo College of
Commerce and was moderated by Dr. Mahla of Saboo College. Famous poet Shri
Nagraj Sharma was the chief guest. Dr. P.P. Gupta Principal presided over the
function. Dr. R.P. Pareek, guest of honor along with the District coordinator
Shri J.P. Soni graced the function. The chief guest distributed the prizes and
certificates. Shri Nagaraj appreciated the efforts of the branch while receiving
the memento from Dr. Pareek. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Motilal Dash,
the programme co-coordinator.

Punjab East :
State level Bharat Ko Jano competition was held on 25th October, 2009 at Ropar.
Written test was conducted at branch level on different dates. 11840 students
from 148 schools participated in these tests. At state level both in senior and
junior groups 16 students participated. The team of Shri Suraj Kumar
Sarvahitkari Vidya Mandir School Sunam, District Sangrur stood first in junior
level and team of Holy Family Convent School Ropar stood first in senior level.
Bareta, Punjab
South :
BKJ competition was conducted at the school level in Sixteen different schools.
632 students (332 in Junior group and 300 in the Senior group) took part in the
competition held on 5 November 2009. 45 students in Junior and 28 in Senior
group appeared at branch level which competition was held on 8.11. 2009 in the
premises of Sh. Atma Ram Public School. Cheshta of green level day Boarding
Public School bagged 1st position in Junior and Ankur Garg of the same school
2nd position in the senior group.
Shahpurkandi
Township, Punjab North :
BKJ school level written Test was held on 5th October in 9 schools. 204 students
of junior level and 197 of senior level participated in the competition. On
09-10-2009 branch level competition was organised at Shri Ram Vidya Mandir,
Baroi. 30 students of 9 schools selected during written test participated in the
quiz competition. In Junior wing Bhawana Pathania of Shri Ram Vidya Mandir Baroi
and in senior wing Manjit Kumar of Govt. Sr. Sec. School Madhopur were the
winners.
Karnataka North :
State level BKJ quiz competition was held on 8th October 2009 at IMA hall
Belgaum under the auspices of Belgaum branch. Zonal Organizing Secretary Shri
Hemant Deshpande inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. State General
Secretary Shri Pandurang Nayak welcomed the guests. 5 teams participated in the
competition. Dr. V.B. Yelburgi the convenor of the event was the quiz master. A
visual round was introduced in the competition for the first time this year. Smt.
Vasundhara Yelburji and Dr. Mrs. Abha Kulkarni were the masters of the ceremony.
Shri B.N. Patil was the chief guest. Rastrothana Vidyakendra of Dharwad won the
first prize in senior category and Narmadadevi School of Hospet won the first
prize in the Junior category.

Branch conducted BKJ at RNS Vidyanikethan Bangalore. The event was inaugurated
by Shri Jayarama Shetty. Principal, Shri K.V. Narahari introduced the Chief
Guest and Shri B.V. Rao, President spoke about the importance of the event. 44
students from 14 schools participated in the quiz ably conducted by the convenor
Shri S.V. Nagaraj. Prizes were distributed by Chief Guest Shri Ranganath, Asst.
Education Officer, Govt. of Karnataka and Shri A.S. Nataraj, zonal secretary.
Florence High School, Basaveshwarnagar, Bangalore bagged the first prize in
senior category, and RNS Vidyanikethan in Juinor category.

Karnataka North :
Branch organised BKJ questionnaire competition on 13.09.2009 at Mallasajjan High
School, Maratha colony. Shri Vidyapathi Havanur conducted the programme while
Shri L.S. Desai, inaugurated the programme. Shri. V.S. Hiremath was the chief
guest and it was presided over by Shri R.B. Dhongade.
Dhubri, Assam
West :
The state level BKJ quiz competition was held at District library auditorium on
1st Nov, 2009. Shri Deepak Kumar Barthakur, National Vice President was the
inaugurator and chief guest of the inaugural session. Mrs. Indira Barthakur
presided over the inaugural session. Altogether 23 teams from different parts of
the state participated in the competition. In the senior group teams from DPS
Dhaligaon, S.P. English Medium School, Dhubri and Srimanta Sankardev Academy,
Guwahati got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. In the Junior group teams
from Don Bosco, panbazar, Guwahati, Maharshi Vidya Mandir, Kalipur, Guwahati and
S.P. English Medium School, Dhubri got 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
