Be a partner in development of the Nation

Bharat Vikas Parishad is striving for the development of the Nation. You can also participate in this effort  by (a) becoming a member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, (b) enrolling yourself as a “Vikas Ratna” or “Vikas Mitra”  and (c)  donating for various sewa &  sanskar projects.

Artificial limbs distributed

Ludhiana: Artificial limbs distributed: A free camp to distribute artificial limbs was held in association with the Bharat Vikas Kendra here on Saturday. During the camp, 44 disabled persons were provided artificial limbs and hearing aids free of cost. The camp was presided over by zonal general secretary of the Bharat Vikas Parishad Anil Kalia. Parishad members urged all present to save water.

Students more inclined towards technical education: Parrikar

BICHOLIM: The Opposition leader, Mr Manohar Parrikar said students have more inclination towards technical education and their parents are fully aware of the present situation, which is a good sign of development of this field.

Mr Parrikar was speaking as the chief guest at a function where Saish Guruprasad Kapadi, who has secured 11th rank in the country at the IIT entrance examination, was felicitated. The function was organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad at Bicholim.

Dr Guruprasad Kapadi, Ms Jyoti G Kapadi and Mr Soiru Varde were present on the dais on the occasion.

Stressing on the moral responsibility of an individual, Mr Parrikar said, "We should always build a clean image in the society by doing good deeds through our achievements."  Kapadi was felicitated by presenting a memento at the hands of Mr Parrikar. He expressed his views about his educational journey on the occasion. Earlier, the president of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Bicholim, Mr Sagar Shetye welcomed the guests and the gathering. Mr Shetye said Kapadi has made Bicholim proud by achieving this success, adding he is a role model for the students. Mr Parish Khanolkar proposed the vote of thanks. Mr Soiru Varde compered the function.

Workshop on personality development for students of government school

Chandigarh :
In an endeavour to provide a facility to students of economically weaker sections of the society, Bharat Vikas Parishad, an NGO, organised a workshop for personality development for the needy but meritorious students of Class IX and X of various government schools of Chandigarh.

Regular workshops are organised once in a month for meritorious students where professionals from corporate sector with a proven track record in their respective fields are invited to interact with these students.

About 46 students attended the workshop on Sunday. Rachita Gupta, a councillor and trainer, conducted the workshop for development of communication skills of the students.

Through multimedia presentation, animated and energising speech, she stressed that for rising in any field of career and life communication plays the most important role.

She stressed that communication ability has great relevance for a person’s personality and improvement in this area can provide direction to our youth.

She emphasised on a strong need to build communication skill of the students. Dr P N. Thapar congratulated the students for having encashed this opportunity provided by Bharat Vikas Parishad.

Bharat Vikas Parishad holds investiture ceremony

Public service is most rewarding: Khanduri

DEHRADUN, 9 May: The investiture ceremony of the local unit of the Bharat Vikas Parishad was held here, today, in which new office bearers of Uttarakhand western region were sworn in.

The Chief Guest on the occasion was former Chief Minister BC Khanduri, who said on the occasion that public service was the most rewarding and provided great satisfaction.

Khanduri praised the efforts of the Bharat Vikas Parishad and said that its work on the uplift of the poor and underprivileged was praiseworthy.

He said that there was need for national character building without which thinking of making an ideal nation was not possible. He stated that the Bharat Vikas Parishad was not just limited to social uplift but was playing an important role in character building.

Speaking on the occasion, Ishwar Dutt Ojha threw light on the objectives of the Bharat Vikas Parishad, and provided detailed information about its various development works. He appealed to people to participate in development works being carried out by the organisation. He also spoke about the organisation’s projects for vision 2013.

Parishad State President Savita Kapoor welcomed those present and informed them about the Parishad’s future schemes.

Investiture Officer Rajkumar Chauhan swore in the new office-bearers and urged them to work efficiently with dedication and honesty.

Chief Guest Khanduri felicitated the new office bearers. Earlier, he had inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. "Vande Mataram" and the welcome song "Swagatam"  were presented by Farah Malik, Urmila Jain, Nina Singh, Alpana Singhal and Rashmi Jain. Arvind Gupta welcomed the gathering.

In the second session, a workshop was held at which Ishwar Dutt Ojha and Acharya Prabudh Narayan Kaushik threw light on the work being done by the Parishad. Among those who were sworn in included Parishad President Savita Kapur, Harish Maindola, Anita Guha and many others. Present on the occasion were media incharge PK Khatri, Mayor Vinod Chamoli, Patron Jitendra Nagalia, Rajeev Malhotra, Vijay Singh, Vishnu Lakhera, SK Khatri, Sonal Verma, Dr Bimal Kant Nautiyal, Kamla Joshi, Brig MP Gupta and many others.

Bharat Vikas Parishad to set up Eye Bank

DEHRADUN, 7 May: Savita Kapoor, President of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Western Uttarakhand Chapter, today, said that the Parishad would set up an Eye Bank in the state.

She told reporters here today that the project for the Eye Bank was being prepared by the Parishad.
"Very soon it will start functioning," she said.

Kapoor said that the Parishad was also considering opening its branches at remote areas to enhance the activity of the Parishad. She maintained that Parishad mainly focussed on public contact, cooperation, service to people and cooperation. . She disclosed that Parisahd had 19 branches in Uttarakhand and was looking forward to increase the number of branches to 25. She said that the Parishad would open vocational training centres to make the poor women of slum areas self-reliant. 

The President informed that the installation ceremony of new office bearers of Parishad would take place on 9 May at Hotel Viceroy in Dehradun. Also present on the installation ceremony would be former CM BC Khanduri and Ishwar Dutt Ojha, the National President of the Parishad.
