Be a partner in development of the Nation

Bharat Vikas Parishad is striving for the development of the Nation. You can also participate in this effort  by (a) becoming a member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, (b) enrolling yourself as a “Vikas Ratna” or “Vikas Mitra”  and (c)  donating for various sewa &  sanskar projects.

Donations to Bharat Vikas Parishad are eligible for income tax exemption under section 80-G of Income Tax Act. Donations may kindly be sent by cheque / demand draft in favour of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Bharat Vikas Bhawan, BD Block, Behind Power House, Pitampura, Delhi-110034.

 
 
 
  Our branches regularly organise seminars on various aspects of health. Yoga camps are   also being conducted. A number of dental care, eye care and other specialized medical camps, blood donation camps, T.B.camps, Hepatitis camps and camps for deaf etc. are also being held. Facilities for registration of eye donation and surgery are also provided.

 
 
 

 
 


During 2006-07, Parishad’s branches organised medical check-up and cataract operation camps benefiting over 5.60 lakh persons.  A total of 11,724 units of blood were also donated by our members.

In addition to organising health camps, Parishad is operating  309  permanent basis all over the country where various health care facilities are provided to the patients on regular basis.

Among such permanent projects is a Super Specialty Hospital at Kota spread over 40,000 square feet.  It has 150 beds, 50 Doctors and 250 other staff. It has an ICU, Private Wards and a number of Specialties. Super specialty services are provided to Cardiac and Neuro patients. Over 1.5 lakhs patients are attended to annually in its OPD. Further expansion of facilities in the hospital is in progress.

Similarly, Parishad’s Diagnostics Centre at Chandigarh which is providing diagnostic and treatment facilities to over 90,000 patients annually.   Our Ludhiana Charitable Trust has also doing commendable work for service of the society.  Over 75,000 patients are now treated annually in its multi-faculty hospital.

 


 
 

 

NEWS FROM SOME OF THE STATES

 
   

Tarkeshwar, West Bengal: Branch organized a free eye testing & spectacle distribution camp at Nibaran Primary School, Tarkeshwar. A total of 163 villagers were tested and spectacles were provided to 80 needy patients on 13th January, 2008. Blankets were also given to the 10 needy villagers of the locality on that day. 

Raniganj : Branch donated 715 no. of goggles and 715 no. of spectacles to the patients in the eye testing camp organized by Lions Club of Raniganj.

 Kankurgachi : Branch organized a free eye testing & spectacles distribution camp on 2nd February, 2008 at MINT, Alipore, Kolkata. A total of 356 employees of the Mint were examined. Free spectacles were distributed to 200 patients and 42 cases were detected for operation purpose. Dr. S.K.Sharma, Ex-Sheriff of Kolkatta, Justice R.N. Ray (Rtd.) of Kolkata High Court, Shri S.N. Lahiri, Ganeral Manager, Mint, Shri B.P.Chakravorty, Deputy General Manager, Mint, Smt. Anshoo Modi, Social Worker, Shri S.N. Daga Trustee, M.P. Birla Eye Hospital, Shri P.D. Bhoot, National Advisor, Shri G. Sugla, State President, Shri N.L. Singhania, State Vice-President, Shri T.C. Marda, Branch President, Shri S.N. Gaur, programme convener and other members were present on the occasion.

Branch also organized a voluntary blood donation camp on 3rd February, 08 at Kankurgachi in association with Bani Sangh. Shri Samendra Kumar Nath, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax inaugurated the Camp. Shri Paresh Pal, Ex-MLA was also present on the occasion.

A total of 46 units of blood was collected. Team of Bhoruka Blood Bank collected the blood. Dr. S.K. Agarwal, Branch Secretary, Shri Pawan Ganeriwal, Treasurer and other dignitaries were also present to grace the programme.

 Jalandhar South, Punjab North : Branch referred three cases to Viklang Kendra Ludhiana for fixing of limbs. It is worthwhile to mention here that until now a total of 21 cases have been referred this year to Viklang Centre Ludhiana for fixing of limbs.

 Manimajra, Punjab East : Branch in association with Shri Paramhans Dayal Satsang Sabha Chandigarh organized a free eye checkup camp at Vishwkarma Mandir Manimajara. 500 patients were examined by a team of doctors headed by senior eye surgeon Dr. V.P. Kakkar.

Free medicines were distributed and spectacles were given to the needy & poor. The cataract operations for the 30 selected patients will be done at General Hospital Panchkula by putting intraocular lenses with latest technique . All expenses were borne by BVP & Shri Paramhans Dayal  Sabha jointly.

 Shri Navrattan Munjal Managing Director IND-Swift Limited was the chief guest and Shri V.K.Kapoor was the guest of honour. At this occasion a satsang & Bhajan Sankirtan Samaroh was held by Swami Shri Shantanand from Nagli Daber, Meerut. Shri Rakesh Sehgal President Punjab State presided over the function.

 Lakshmi Bai (Patiala) : On 30th March, 2008 the branch organised a free Medical check-up camp of Chest and E.N.T. at Siri Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Sai Dham , Patiala. Dr. R.S.Rishi (Chest specialist) and Dr. Harcharan Dass Gupta & Dr. Dinesh Sharma (E.N.T. specialist) examined more than 138 patients. Medicines were given free of cost to the patients.

 MalerKotala: Branch organised 6th blood-donation camp on 9.3.08. Voluntary donors donated 105 blood units to blood bank of P.G.I. Chandigarh. Shri Ramesh Singla was the chief guest and Dr. Gurvinder Singh M.D. (Medicine) presided over the function. Dr. Udha Rao from P.G.I. appreciated efforts of Shri Rakesh Bhateja (camp incharge) to make the task successful.

 Vidyaranya, Karnataka South : Voluntary blood donation camp was organised on 16.03.08 in association with an NGO named " Friends for Needy" and Maruthi Medicals, Vijayanagar, Bangalore. Rastrothana blood bank, Bangalore, collected the blood donated by 26 donors.

 Malleswaram: On 19.02.08 this branch conducted a dental health care camp at Vasavi Vidya Peeth school, Vijaya Nagar, Bangalore and covered 485 students in all. KLE Dental College had kindly extended all cooperation by sending 17 doctors headed by Dr. Vidya & Dr. Shobha, and one van equipped with chair. The school made excellent arrangements.

After the successful completion of the dental camp, visiting doctors addressed the students on dental care, mouth and gums. The branch is planning for a permanent arrangement by way of adoption. This school will be permanently adopted by KLE dental College.

 Belgaum, Karnataka North : On 4th to 7th Feb., 08 "Health & Dental Camp" was organized at G.G. Chitnis High School, Tilakwadi, Belgaum. 645 students were benefited. Dr. V.B. Yelbugri (General Health), Dr. Abha R. Kulakarni & our Secretary Dr. Rajendra Kulkarani (both dentists couple) treated the students.

 Kumararama Unit Gangavathi : On 6th March i.e. Shivarathri Day, the branch coducted free health check-up camp of Panch Gavya and Ayurvedic treatment for the Diabetic patients with the help of Gopal Govardhan Goshala of Pathamedha. 168 diabetic patients were benefited by this camp. Dr. Shamasingh Rajpurohit (Pathamedha) supervised the camp.

 Janakpuri C-2, Delhi South : Branch organized a free medical check-up camp of Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) in co-ordination with RLKC Hospital, Metro Heart Institute, Pandav Nagar, New Delhi on 17th February, 2008. The camp was a great success and about 165 persons took advantage in the both Eyes & ENT. Two dental camps were also organized by the branch and about 60 persons took advantage of the camp. The branch spent Rs. 1000/- on the two camps

.Greater Kailash-1 : On 16th March, 2008 the branch organised, in association with Indian Cancer Society and Corporation Bank, a free Cancer Detection Camp at Shiv Mandir, Pamposh Enclave, New Delhi. Around 100 patients turned up for check-up which included X-Ray, blood test, B.P., E.N.T. and other ailments by the doctors and para medical staff of the Indian Cancer society. The Corporation Bank sponsored the project.

 The camp was graced by several dignitaries including Shri O.P. Sharda, Muncipal Councillor, Shri D.N.Sondhi, Chairman, Fund  Raising Committee of the I.C. Society. Shri P.R. Nayak, Dy. G.M. of the Corporation Bank, President GKRA, Shri Ashok Sethi, Shri K.K. Bansal, philanthropist, office bearers and members of BVP.

 Smt. Promila Verma spoke, in detail, about the symptoms of Cancer and its preventive measures.

 Bhubaneswar North, Orissa : Health camp for Eye, Dental, Gynics and general Medicine was organised in the adopted village on 20-01-08. 6 specialist doctors and 15 BVP members were present.  More than 300 patients were examined by the doctors and medicines were distributed free of cost. 

Karimganj, Assam : Branch organised the monthly free health Check-up-Cum awareness and medicine distribution camp at the adopted Village Nathupur on 17th February, 08. 56 patients of the said village were examined by our member Dr. T.K. Banik. Medicines worth Rs. 5,320/- only were distributed free of cost.

 Porvorim, Goa : Diabetic detection camp inaugurated by Brig. Dr. G.R. Bhangi on 16th March 08 at Vidhya Prabodini High School was a grand success where more than 170 people were checked for their sugar level. Also present on this occasion were Smt. Mangala Saudikar – kshetriya Sanghatan Mantri and O.P. Kanungo Kshetriya Samanvay Mahamantri. Bouquets were presented to Dr. Rajesh Nevrekar and Dr. Ragoba Kaonkar from G.M.C. and also to the representatives of Company Mr. Vishal Ghadi and Shant. Dr. Navrekar highlighted necessary precautions to be taken for Diabetic patients and said that proper diet and regular exercise is a must for such patients. Management of Vidyaprobodini High School were kind enough to allow the were of their premises free of cost for this camp.

 Punjab East, Chandigarh South-II : Mr. Charanjit Singh Member of Chandigarh-2 branch has so for donated blood for 168 times, a life time achievement, in the service of mankind. It is really commendable and a matter of pride for the Parishad having such great men in the organisation.

He was honoured and felicitated by Shri I.D. Ojha, National Secretary General on 2.3.08 at Chandigarh at the time of State Council meet.

Kankurgachi (Kolkata), West Bengal : organized an eye testing camp on 18th November, 2007 at Kankurgachi which was sponsored by our member and Trustee of Dokania Charitable Trust where 265 persons were examined. 113 specs were distributed and 18 persons were to be operated for cataract. Mr. P.D. Bhoot National Advisor, was the Chief Guest. Sri G.D. Sukla, president BVP West Bengal presided over the function.

While Mr. V.N. Sultania, President of Paschim Banga Pradeshik Marwari Sammelan inaugurated the camp, Smt. Sunanda Guha, Councillor of the Ward, Salil Deb Former Swimming Champion and Yoga Specialist and Mr. B.N. Chakraborty, Deputy General Manager of Mint, Govt. of India were the Special Guests on the occasion..

Karimganj, Assam : Branch organised its monthly free health checkup-cum awareness and medicine distribution camp at adopted village Nathupura on 18th November,07. 58 patients of the said village were examined by Dr. T.K. Banik and medicines worth Rs. 9,760/- were distributed free of cost. 

Bongaigaon : Branch organised a medical and clothes distribution camp at Nimagaon village in Sundari about 5 km west of Kajalgaon area of Chirag District on 24.11.07.  On this occasion, about one hundred villagers were treated on the spot by Dr. K.N. Devsarma, Vice President of BVP Assam (West) and free medicines were distributed immediately after the treatment. Most of the patients were women and children. Winter clothes (mostly warm) were also distributed among the villagers in the camp. Medicines worth Rs.8000/- were distributed free.

Nimegaon village has been taken up as a model village by Bharat Vikas Parishad for all-round development and accordingly the Parishad carries out various activities from time to time. In this regard Parishad has extended financial help to an abandoned Club, where various sport items like football, carom board etc. have been provided to them. It is noteworthy that the young children have already earned name & fame in the locality as they have won several championship events in football, Kabadi etc. within a short time.

 Agartala, Arunachal Pradesh : A medical camp was organized jointly by the East and west branches on 25 December 07 at 'Shishi Mandir', a school for children, situated a few miles south from Agartala. The camp was inaugurated with the song 'bande mataram' sung by the members of the two branches, the doctors and the patients. Smt Manjulika Deb Barma, president of the West branch, in the inaugural speech spoke about the aims and objects of the Bharat Vikas Parishad. Sri Jatindra Chandra Das, Pradhan of Purba Gandhigram Panchayet and Shri Haripada Banik, a member of Mohanpur Panchayet Samiti (Association) stressed the importance of organizing such camps to reach medical help to the poor who have not enough money to get themselves treated by qualified doctors and buy costly medicines. As many as 150 children and grown-up patients, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, were treated by the child specialist, Dr. Nilratan Majumder and the general doctor, Dr. Tapan Debnath. The Patients were given free medicines.

 B-Block, Janakpuri, Delhi South : Sweaters were provided to 23 blind students and under health care escorts heart check-up camp was organised on 25.11.2007 where various facilities such as ECHO, ECG, Blood sugar etc. were provided to 70 persons. Four dental Camps were held during the month benefiting 59 dental cases and 8 De-addiction cases. 

C-2, Janakpuri, Delhi South : Organised free dental camps in November and December and treated 110 patients. Free heart & Lung check-up camp was organised at Geeta Mandir Hall in coordination with R.L.K.C. Hospital, Metro Heart Institute, Pandav Nagar, Naraina road, New Delhi. In the camps free facilities of blood sugar, blood pressure, ECG. with free consulation of cardiologists, pulmorologist, General Physicians & Dieticians was available.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. R.K.Thakur Chief Advisor BVP. About 130 members availed the facilities provided there. Free bone mineral density test was organised in cooperation with a sponsoring pharmaceutical firm. Dr. P.V. Kailey, Sr. Orthopedic Surgeon of Metro Hospital, Naraina explained through film show  various joints of legs and how they are treated by operation without cut. 

Khanna, Punjab North : Branch organised blood donation camp on blood donation day i.e.14.12.2007 with the collaboration of HDFC Bank Khanna branch at Dayanand Hall of A .S. Sr. Sec School Khanna. 96 units of blood was donated  by Branch members & different organisations of Khanna. In this camp a team of 11 doctors lead by Dr. Usha Rao from P.G.I. Chandigarh took part. Smt. Kamlesh Takyar a well known social worker was the Chief Guest.

Ghatotand, Hazaribag, Jharkhand : On 1st Dec.,07 world AIDS day Mahila Samity of the branch flagged of a rally for mass AIDS awareness. In the evening the rally reached Ramgarh Distt. town covering 40 kms of state highway and National Highway 33. On different places nuked natak  & quiz programmes were organised.

 Talwandi Bhai, Punjab South : Branch organised a free medical camp at Mallan Walla on 3.12.07with the help of Dr. B.L.Pasricha. Dr. Ashwini Kalia, M.S. Eye Surgeon and Dr. Jyoti Kalia, M.B.B.S. examined the patients. About 600 patients were examined by Dr. Jyoti Kalia Eye Surgeon.

 Silchar Branch, Assam(w) :   A free Eye Operation Camp was organised on 24.09.07 at Koomber Tea Garden Hospital. 201 Eye patients were examined, out of whom 36 were selected for free Cataract Operation. However, 5 patients opted out for personal difficulties & 31 were operated, free of cost, at Lions Eye Hospital, Silchar.15 patients were supplied with near vision spectacles at subsidized rates of Rs. 50/- each. The management of Koomber T.E. provided local logistics support.

 Lakshmi Bai (Patiala) : All the branches of BVP, Patiala organized State level NGSC on 14-10-2007 at Parishad Bhawan, Sanouri Adda, Patiala.

 Our branch conducted BKJ competition on 26-10-2007 in which 300 students of ten Government and Private schools participated. On 28-10-2007, the branch organized a free Medical Check-up camp of Chest and E.N.T. at Siri Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Sai Dham, Nabha Road, Patiala. Dr. R.S. Rishi (Chest Spl.) and Dr. B.S. Verma (E.N.T. Spl.) examined more than 152 patients. Medicines were given free of cost to the patients.

 Janak Puri Main, Delhi(S) : Arranged a Heart Check-up Camp at Sh. Ram Mandir, on 6th Oct. 2007 in association with Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre and Sh. H.L. Malhotra an eminent philanthrophist.

 Dr. Piyush Jain Sr. Cardiologist and his team of doctors and Technicians checked the patients. The camp was inaugurated by Sh. B.L. Parashar, Chairman, Zone-3, Delhi State and was addressed by Chairman, Education Committee, MCD and Dr. Piyush Jain. 183 Patients were checked and their E.C.G. and other tests were carried out while 82 patients were given Echo Cardiography test.

 On the same day, a hearing aid machine was given to a needy person.

 B-Block Branch Janakpuri Delhi(S):  (a) A Wheel Chair was given to a handicap. (b) Three hearing aids were provided to the poor.  (c) Five Dental Camps  were held during the month of Oct. benefiting 91 dental cases and 8 De-Addiction cases.

        Ahmedgarh, Punjab East : Branch organized a Seminar on the subject of Female Feticide & Free Medical Check-Up Camp at Hind Hospital, Ahmedgarh with the co-operation of Dr. Sunit Hind. In this Seminar & Camp Sh. Rajnish Sharma Ji was the Chief Guest. S. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Member Parliament and S. Jagdish Singh Garcha (Ex-Cabinet Minister Punjab Govt.) marked their presence.

       Beside others Dr.Jyoti Hind provided valuable information on the subject of Female Feticide.

       In this camp Dr.Ramanbir Singh, M.D., D.M. Endocrinology of SPS Apollo Hospitals examined the patients having diseases of Diabetes, Thyroid, Obesity, Impotency, Infertility, Short-Stature, Delayed Growth, Menstrual Abnormalities & Bone Diseases. In this Camp 350 patients were examined.

       Malerkotla: Branch organised Free Medical Check-up Camp in the memory of Past President late Dr.Vinod Kumar Sharma. Four doctors from Apollo Hospital Ludhiana examined about 260 patients of different diseases.  

       Dr. Kitchlu,Ludhiana, Punjab North): On 12.08.2007, BVP Charitable Trust Punjab  organized a Polio Corrective Surgery camp at Viklang Sahayata Kendra (Regd.) Ludhiana, where 8 patients were operated upon. These patients, along with their attendants, were staying in the hospital, which is a part of   Kendra. As a good will gesture, the members of the branch visited them on 13.08.2007 and enquired about their well being. On 14.08.2007, Smt. Sneh Lata, Area Counsellor, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, also visited these patients and had interaction with them.

 She was explained about the facilities available in the hospital and the services being rendered by the centre. She appreciated these and promised her co-operation in the successful working of the centre and the Parishad.

       Panchdeep, Delhi  North : Branch organised a "BLOOD DONATION CAMP" & "FREE HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP" at Deepali Chowk,  Rohini,  in DDA Office with Engineers Club. In this camp Red Cross Society collected more than 40 units of blood & a medical team of experienced Doctors from SRI BALA JI ACTION MEDICAL MANAGEMENT checked BP, Diabetes, E.C.G. B.M.I etc. of more than150 people

        Sh. Mahesh Sharma Addl. Secretary Delhi North with other office bearers also donated blood.

      Greater Kailash-I, Delhi (South): Branch organized a Free Health Check-up camp on 02/9/2007  in association with MAX HEART & VASCULAR INSTITUTE, Saket, New Delhi. The camp was held at SHIV MANDIR, Pamposh Enclave,  New Delhi. 170 persons turned up for check-up. Services included heart ailments check-up, E.C.G., ECHO, Blood Pressure, Random Blood Sugar, Eye-check up, Orthopaedic (including bone density), physiotherapy, and Dental check-up.

         The inauguration function was graced by Area Councilor Shri O.P. Sharda as Chief Guest, presided over by Shri Jai Bhagwan Goel, President, Vaishya Sabha, Delhi. The dignitaries included Shri K.K. Bansal, (Philanthropist) Col. (Retd.) J.N. Raina (President, Shiv Mandir Committee,) Shri Mahesh Sharma. (Zonal Secretary Zone III, BVP) and Shri R.C. Puri, (President Delhi State South). In appreciation, thereof Shri K.K. Bansal announced a donation of Rs. 51,000/- on the spot.

        The branch's Allopathic Dispensary at Sant Nagar, New Delhi treated 101 patients during August,2007 which is a significant improvement compared to previous months. Homeopathic Dispensary at Khanpur Extension, N Delhi, attended to 390 patients during the same month.

       Vikaspuri Main: A Medical Camp was organized by branch in collaboration with Star Imaging & Path Lab. (A high tech unit of Janta X-Ray Clinic) at Parmarth Apartments, Vikaspuri on 22.07.2007. 180 patients took advantage of the camp facility.

        Isanpur, Gujarat: Branch organized on 26th July'07 a "Low calorie Healthy Diet Program" with the help of Nestle Consumer Services. More than 30 lady members participated and learnt to make low calorie healthy food. Smt. Priti Thakkar from Nestle demonstrated five low calorie food items. This event was held at Physiotherapy Center, Isanpur, Ahmedabad.

        Harshavardhan, A.P.West: Branch celebrated Viklang Samarpan Divas at Ashoka Garden, KMG Paradise, Gudimalkapur, Hyderabad. Supreme Court Judge Sri B.Sudershan Reddy presided over as the Chief Guest of the function. 118 limbs were given to Viklang's. An award of Rs.5000/- was presented to poor meritorious student. 6000 attended the Garden Dinner meeting. Video C.D. was presented to Secretary General Sri I.D. Ojha, who declared that he will place the program CD on BVP website.

        Anakapalle, A.P. North: 20.07.07: Dr. K. Nagaraju Kumar (DHMS) Doctor of Medicine in Bach Flower Therapy enlightened the members on the importance of "Adhunika Jeevana Vidhnam-Manasika Vottidi" (Stress to the people of India) to the members.

        Malleswaram, Karnataka south: On 08.07.07, in Moluree, a Tehasil at a distance of 60 k.m. from Bangalore, a Medical Check up Camp, a dental Check up Camp and a Cancer detection Camp were held. 171 ladies, 60 dental patients and 377 men were examined. The occasion was graced by the presence of Maluree M.L.A., District health officer, the Principal of the K.L.E. Dental College and the director of Cancer Society of Karnataka.

        On 11.07.07 in 11th cross Malleswaram, lions (ladies wing) lead a B.M.D. Test Camp. (Bone mineral density test) 38 Elderly men and 87 Elderly Women were the beneficiaries of the test.

        On 17.07.07 the state office of the B.V.P. honoured several dignitaries for their services. From Malleswaram area, Sri Sabhadri Iyengar is the elder, who received this honour. He is still serving as Hon. Secretary of MES group of educational institutions Bangalore.

        Madurai, Tamil Nadu South: Branch jointly with Lions club of Thirunagar conducted Blood Donation Camp at Mannar Thirumaki Nagakkar College at Madurai. 260 units of Blood was collected by Govt. Hospital (Madurai)

       South Guwahati, Assam: Branch organised - a free health checkup Shivir for the economically weaker section of the society on 26th August 2007 at Vivekananda Vidyapith, Odalbakra, in association with Dr. Kuntal Goswami Memorial Public Charitable Trust, Guwahati. Under the supervision of Dr. D.P. Goswami number of Doctors belonging to various medical streams from the Institute of Child and Woman Health Care of the Trust participated in the programme and performed the health checkup. About 178 patients attended the shivir. The Shivir was inaugurated by Sri Shankarlal Chakraborty, Zonal Secretary, Zone IX.         Karimganj: Branch organised the monthly free check-up-cum awareness and medicine distribution camp at adopted village Nathupur on Sunday, the 19th August. 61 patients of the said village were examined by our member Dr. T.K. Banik and medicines worth Rs. 5,300 only were distributed free of cost among the patients as per prescriptions of the Doctor.

Karimganj, Assam:- Branch organised monthly free health Check-up Cum awareness and medicine distribution camp at its adopted village Nathupur on 25th March 2007. Forty-eight patients of the said village were examined by two of our members Dr.Sibnath Paul and Dr.T.K.Banik. Medicines worth Rs.5600/- only were distributed free of cost.

Ludhiana, Punjab North:- Bharat Vikas Parishad is going to start a Polio Surgery Hospital in Ludhiana under Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab, a unit of BVP. Punjab & JK.

Branches can contribute Rs. 5000/- being the cost of one operation. By doing so the branch can claim that they have done Polio Operations under Viklang Sahayata Yojana.

Kochin East, Kerala :- A Free Eye Test Camp was organized in an island village in Ernakulam District during March 2007 with the help of the District Hospital authorities and 58 out of 150 patients checked up were given free glasses and spectacles costing about Rs.25,000/- in all.  There was a scintillating Bharathanatyam performance by Smt. Harita Haridas, B-Tech, daughter of one of our members.

Paldi-Amdavad, Gujarat :- Branch organised a Medical Camp for Padyatries of DAKOR temple of Shri Ranchhodji about 80 kms. from here.  For the last eight years the Br. is organising such Medical Camps at Khatraj  for padyatries' primary Health Services. This year 3750 padyatries had taken benefit of this camp. State Govt. Hon. Minister Shri Sunder Singh Chauhan also visited the camp.This Medical Camp was organised continuously for 65 hours (day & night)  with the help of National Medicos Org.(NMO)

All primary health services provided with Tab, dressing material and ointment useful for body, leg & headache etc.
Manimajra, Punjab East: Branch in association with Sh. Paramhans Dayal Satsung Sabha Chandigarh took out a Shobha Yatra to create awareness about the Free Eye Checkup camp & Bhagti Sankirtan Samaroh which was organised at local Vishwkarma Mandir. The patients were examined by a team of Doctors headed by Senior Eye Surgeon Dr. V.P.Kakkar. Free medicines were distributed and spectacles given to the needy & poor. The cataract operations for the selected patients were done at General Hospital Panchkula by putting intraocular lens with latest technique on 10.04.2007. All expenses were borne by these two sponsors. Bhajan Sankirtan Samaroh was held by Sant Sar Shanta Nand Ji  from Nangli Sahib Meerut.
