Be a partner in development of the Nation

Bharat Vikas Parishad is striving for the development of the Nation. You can also participate in this effort  by (a) becoming a member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, (b) enrolling yourself as a “Vikas Ratna” or “Vikas Mitra”  and (c)  donating for various sewa &  sanskar projects.

Dr. Kitchlu (Ludhiana), Punjab North : Under Bihari Lal Aggarwal BVP Mobile Clinic project 640 patients were registered for different types of treatment during August 2012. A new site in village Bhatian Changan near Hambran Ludhiana has been added in lieu of the Mundian Kalan because the later became unmanageable. At present, this clinic is running at three locations in rural areas and at three sites in different localities of Ludhiana City.

Chandigarh, Punjab East : Madan Gupta Spatu, a social worker and author, donated streak retinoscope, an instrument for mobile eye care unit of BVP's Charitable Medical Centre inside Indira Holiday Home, Sector-24 Chandigarh in a simple function to commemorate the birth anniversary of her late wife Manu Gupta Spatu. This electronic device will help in eye checkup of the down trodden people living in colonies and slum areas who can neither come to hospitals, nor afford costly consultation fee and medicines. The eye care unit of Parishad will provide services and medicines on their door step, 'said Dr. Sujata Dwivedi, eye surgeon. Earlier, Spatu donated chair on Manju's last birthday for patients in the same premises which provides medical test facilities including CT Scan at no profit no loss basis. Madan Gupta Spatu is one of the founder members of this charitable medical centre since long. Late Manju Gupta Spatu was also Vice President. Ajay Dutta Director of the centre applauded the contribution of Spatu for the society on every birthday of his wife.

On 23.09.2012 in association with Fortis Hospital Mohali Chandigarh West-III branch organized cardiology and orthopedic camp. More than 175 residents and senior citizens of Sector-38 were screened. Free investigations like blood pressure, blood sugar, ECG and bone densitometry were done. Free consultation were given by Dr. Rajat Sharma DM Cardiologist, Dr. Jaspreet and Dr. Vivek. This camp was organized to mark World Heart Day on 29th September 2012.On this event Shri Ajay Dutta, Rakesh Dutta & Anu Dutta, along with TC Goel (Distt. President) also visited this 2nd heart checkup camp. 

Sunam Main : A seminar on vascular diseases was held under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Jindal of Fortis Hospital Mohali in parivarik milan  on 04.09.2012.

Ghagga : Branch organised a blood donation camp on 26 August 2012. More than 80 donors donated blood. There was a great role of Gyan Sagar Hospital that collected the blood and gave an award to the branch. 

Rampura Phul, Punjab South : Blood donation camp was held on 21st August 2012 in S.S. College in association with Lions Club and College Blood donors Council. 51 units were donated.

B-I, Janakpuri, Delhi South : Organised a seminar on menstrual problems and dietary habbits in adolesent girls. About 100 girl students participated during one hour talk delivered by Dr. Vijayaprabha Aggarwal with power pt. presentation. Principal of the school requested the Parishad to organise it again for the whole school. Dr Vijaya said that 99% of the problems in young girls are due to imbalanced diet, lack of exercise, mental stresses of modern life style. She said that girls should not take junk food, avoid stress, do regular yoga, take balanced diet like green vagetables, pulses, fresh fruits, milk and curd, should read books other than their syllabi books and participate in regular games in the school. 50% of the girls present were found anemic, so she advised medicine for the same. Girls asked about 50 questions in later half of the session.

Jayanti, Jind, Haryana West : Organised a cancer checkup camp on 16.09.2012 with the collaboration of Paras Hospital Gurgaon at Jain Hospital Jind. In this camp BP, ECG, blood sugar & other checks were done free. 252 patients took benefit in this camp. Branch advertised for this camp in SITI Cable on 3 channels. 12 pc 8x8 flex boards were also displayed in various cities. 20000 pamphlets in news paper, 20 pc flex banner were put up in local city. 4 Doctors & 7 other member team came from Paras Hospital. Press and electronic media gave maximum coverage. Exp. in the camp was `32644.

Bhuna :  Branch organised a free asthamatic checkup camp on 21st Sep. 2012. Testing was done by spirometry machine & all types of medicines, nebulizers were given free of cost. 75 patients were examined. Patron Bal Krishan Girdhar motivated all the members to do these types of projects at least one's in a month.   

Sirohi, Rajasthan West : On 12.09.2012 a dental camp was organized with Shri Anil Chordia, Zonal General Secretary as chief guest. 600 students were benefited. On 23.09.2012 free mega multi specialty medical camp was organized in collaboration with Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital Udaipur. 1050 patients were benefited. Shri Raj Bhatia, Prantiya President was also present in the camp.

Parashara, Bangalore, Karnataka South : Arranged a medical camp at talakad in association with Bangalore Diabetic Hospital, Medical Education Research Trust and Dr. Siddamallikarjuna Swami, Manager Hastikeri mutt, Talka, on 26th August 2012. In addition there was also dental checkup and ayurvedic & yoga therapy. Herbal medicines were distributed free for bronchial and allergy patients. Few local philanthropists liberally donated for treatment of a six year old suffering from blood cancer and for distribution of note books to school children.

Karimganj, Assam : Branch organized a medical awareness cum health checkup and free medicine distribution camp at vill. Surigram, on 12.08.2012. 96 patients were examined by Dr. Mani Sankar Das Gupta (M.B.B.S) and Dr. T.K. Banik M.D. and medicines worth Rs.20,000 were distributed among the patients as prescribed.

Bhakra Nangal, Punjab East : A medical camp was organized on 10th June 2012 in adjacent village Nikku Nangal by branch. A team of seven Doctors from different fields examined 306 patients. Free medicines were distributed.

Sirhind, Punjab East : A free dental check up and treatment camp was organised at Govt. Elementary School, Bhagat Colony on 21.07.2012. 150 students of 3-12 age group were examined under project shiksha kosh. Free tooth paste and tooth brushes were provided to all. 50 tooth brush and 50 tooth paste were provided to the students of Govt. High School Brahman Majra on the same day after the camp. Dr. Saurabh Bither and Dr. Rupika Bither from Bither Dental Clinic gave their services free of cost. Project coordinator Sh. Ashok Batra and Shiksha Kosh incharge Sh. Manoj Bimbraw worked a lot for the success of this project. This school is situated in a totally slum are. Periodontoligis Dr. Rupika Bither guided all the students about brushing techniques. Parishad members showed a lot of interest in this project.

Patiala : Branch organized a blood donation camp at Noharia Temple in memory of Late Vinod Gupta & Late Rajat Gupta with the help of Blood Bank team of Govt. Rajindra Medical College. The camp was inaugurated by State President Sh. Harinder Gupta by donating blood himself. State General Secretary Seema Joshi appreciated the efforts of Adesh Gupta, Vice-President of branch & his family for their efforts in organizing the camp. Parishad is going to arrange such camps at Govt Girls College and at Parishad bhawan.

Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana, Punjab North : Two medical camps, first on 3rd  and second on 12th July were organized in village Malakpuri Bet for general medical care and Gynaeological treatments. Dr. Mrs. Seema Mishra, MD (Gynae.) provided her free services for the check-up and prescribing medicines to the ladies. Dr. Sanjeev K. Jain, GAMS checked and treated the patients for general medical problems. There were about 40 beneficiaries in these camps. Under the “Bihari Lal Aggarwal BVP Mobile Clinic” Project, 533 patients registered for different types of treatment during July, 2012. This clinic is running at four locations in rural areas and four sites in different localities of Ludhiana city. A new site in village Mundian Kalan (Ludhiana) has been added under the inter branch cooperation with Dr. Rajendra Prasad. 

Puri, Odisha :  As part of golden jubilee of Parishad and 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, branch organized a voluntary Blood Donation camp on the eve of Independence Day in association with Indian Red Cross Society. The camp was inaugurated by Sri Bijayshri Routray, Honble Minister for Forest and Environment, Labour, Employment and ESI Govt. of Odisha. Dist. Collector Sri N.K. Nayak IAS, Adl. Dist Magistrate Sri Sukant Pradhan, and Chief Dist. Medical Officer Dr. G.K.Sahoo were present in the camp. To encourage the efforts of Parishad ADM himself donated blood. 48 units of blood was collected in the camp. The arrangements were supervised by Secy. Er. M.S. Parida, convenor Samarendra Deo. Organising Secy. Mamta Patro, branch President Lokanath Mohanty and other members present.

Solan, Himachal Pradesh East : A medical camp was held on 22.8.2012 in the high school premises in village Shamrod Tehsil Solan where more than 300 patients were examined  for various ailments when eight specialists provided their services and free medicines were also distributed.

Tezpur, Assam : At OPD Neutrally, Solagaon, Goraimari 15 BPL card holder patients were selected by our Doctor Debeswar Chakraborty, M.B.B.S, M.S for eye operation. All patients were sent to Sri Sankardeva Nethralaya Guwahati where operations were done free of cost on 3rd & 4th July 12. Branch President Sri Ashok Khetawat and other present wished all patients speedy recovery.

Birjhora : On 8th July branch organized a free medical and health checkup camp in the premises of mazdoor club of Birjhora tea estate. Dr. K.N. Deb Sharma and adviser of the branch distributed medicines worth Rs. 8000 free of cost, amongst 152 patients after taking proper account of their diseases. Depending upon the intensity of ailments health checkup and blood pressure checkup were also done. It is worth mentioning that free patients were mostly tea garden laborers. Besides Dr. Sharma, Branch members also extended much help for its success. Ward Commissioner Shri Hira Bagdi did his best in running the camp smoothly. Including this the branch has already organised three such camps at the same venue.

Valmiki, Karnataka South : 81st  Free Eye-checkup and Psychiatric Consultation Camp was organized at the Ramanagaram District Govt. Hospital by Valmiki Shakha on 24th  June 2012. 80 persons underwent free eye check-up, out of whom 22 were referred for free surgery at the West Zone Eye Hospital at Bangalore. Free medicines were supplied to psychiatric patients. The doctors and other Para medical staff were ably assisted by the Secretary Shri Patel C. Raju and members of the Health Committee.  

Vidyaranya, Bangalore : In association with Maruthi Medicals and some Youth Organisations conducted  a voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 22nd June 2012  where 50 units of blood was collected. The day happened to be the birthday of Shri Mahendra Munnot, Proprietor, Maruthi Medical and a well known philanthropist who has been actively associating himself with us in our Seva and Sanskar activities, He was in fact honoured by us a few years back on our Foundation Day.

Mayurvarma (Karwar), Karnataka North : Branch conducted a blood donation camp on 27.06.2012 inaugurated by District Surgeon Shri Nagaraj and Prant Patron Dr. S.R. Pikle. Prant Vice President Shri R.S. Hegde, Shri Ajay Sawkar, branch President Shri Sanjay Revankar and other members worked for the success of the programme. Though more than 30 donors were present but due to the paucity of storage capacity in blood bank only 8 persons including 2 ladies (all first time donors) could donate blood. 17 first time donors got the grouping done and consented for donating blood during emergency and registered their names in the data bank being maintained by our branch. 

Bhubaneswar North, Odisha : Branch conducted a health camp at Janata High School 80 k.m. from Bhubaneswar. On 5th July 2012 about 300 patients were treated. Hi-tech medical College, L.V. Prasad Eye Institute and Red Cross helped us a lot. Zonal Secy, Sri L.K. Mohanty and Prant President Sri Goura Prasanna Misra were present. The old students' Asscn. of the school celebrated School's foundation day.

Jagannath Dham (Puri) : On the eve of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand the branch conducted a free bone mineral density & blood sugar test in association with Himalaya Drug co. on 10th July 2012 in the premises of Utkal Vaidyashala. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Arvind Agarwal, IAS, Collector and Distt. Magistrate Puri. The divine lamp was lit by Acharya Balram Das, Chief Saint of Shanti Anand Ashram, Karamala. Prof. Dr. N.C. Dash former Principal of Gopabandhu Ayurvedic College and a member of the branch along with his associates extended medical advice to the patients, those who were detected with osteopenia and osteoporosis. The event was well covered by the media.   

Shraddha (Varanasi), Kashi Pradesh : Branch opened a free clinic on 30.06.2012 at Mahmoorganj to Lahartara road varanasi in the presence of Shri Brahmanand Peshwani (kendriya mantri sangathan), Vimal Kedia (Prantiya Adhyaksh) and Lalwani. The chief guest was Dr.Arun Kumar Bajoriya.

Jalandhar Gaurav, Punjab North : Eye operation of one widow was arranged and ` 2700/- were spent by Vice President G.P. Jindal.

Sirhind Mandi, Fatehgarh, Punjab East : Branch organized a blood donation camp on 03.06.2012 in association with the blood Bank of Civil Hospital. Chief guest Sh. Sushil Bither inaugurated the camp and Sh. Rajiv Dutta was guest of honour. 50 units of blood were collected. Donors were honoured with mementoes and certificates. 25 members were present in this camp. Project coordinator Sh. Gurjasjit Singh Batra needs a word of Praise.

Branch organised medical checkup camp in association with IVY hospital, Khanna at Rana Hospital. Team of ortho, ENT and general surgery specialists examined the patients and provided free consultation.150 patients got benefited. Refreshment was served to all the attendants and patients. Media was present in this camp. Project coordinator was Dr. Hitendra Suri.

Branch also organized a pulse polio camp in association with Civil Hospital Fatehgarh. Kuljeet Singh Nagra provided camping material i.e. tent, chairs and tables to the polio team. There was refreshment for all the attendants. Media covered this event.     

Malerkotla : Branch organized diabetes checkup camp in pious memories of Late Sh. R.K. Mehta State Patron and Late. Dr. Vinod Sharma Past President. Dr. Navin Mittal D.M. Enducrinology and his team members from D.M.C. Hospital Ludhiana examined about 160 patients. Dietician also provided their services for advise about Diet manual. Free medicines were provided to all patients. Smt. Sanjogita Mehta W/o Late Sh. R.K. Mehta and Dr. Sarita Sharma, W/o Late Dr. Vinod Sharma were the chief guests. Sh. S.C. Galhotra State Vice President form Chandigarh presided and shared the memories of his colleague Sh. R.K. Mehta during their service period. Sh. Nasir Ali State Vice President also gave a detailed account of contribution of both late Sh. R.K. Mehta and Late. Dr. Vinod Sharma. Dr. Satish Kaushik State convener eye donation was the guest of honour.  

Jaitu, Punjab South : The branch donated eyes of Hon'ble Ishwar Garg to eye Bank Faridkot which were installed in two needy persons.

Bhuna, Haryana West : Branch organised a typhoid vaccination camp at Satyam Hospital on 21st July 2012. 62 persons were vaccinated. A large no. of members were present. Dr. Sunil Mehta said that prevention is better than cure.

Madhu Vihar, Delhi East : Branch in association with Lions Club Delhi Kiran organized a service project: Eye checkup camp on 17.06.2012 at central park, Trilokpuri. 300 persons reported for the checkup and about 160 people were given spects free of cost. Also 8 persons were identified for free cataract operation. The local NGO Jan Sewa Prayas Samiti took lead in mobilizing people, giving publicity about the camp and helping the medical team to conduct check-up at the site. Shri S. Jayaraman, Treasurer was there to supervise the arrangements and he profusely thanked the local NGO for their support. Thanks are due to Shri Madan Malik for sending the medical van with the team in time.

Kolkata, West Bengal : More than 100 patients were examined in permanent weekly free eye hospital & spectacles distribution centre at Kolkata. 60 spects were distributed to the needy patients. Free medicince were also provided.

Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch organized yoga shivir jointly with Gairmajrua Gramin branch from 12 to 17.06.2012 at Station club under the guidance and supervision of patanjali yoga teacher Shri Rakesh Kumar. About 20-25 persons including 7-8 ladies participated. Notable participants were Er. G.P. Singh, CE & National Convener (Vistar), State Pres. Er. P.K. Ambastha, Shri A.P. Tiwari, Sri. S.K. Sarkar, Smt. Vijaya Tiwari, Dr. S. Nandi, Er. A.P. Singh, Shri Balmukund, Shri A.P. Mehta, Shri R. Ram & others.

Patan, Gujarat North : Branch organised heart related diseases as well as diabetes checkup camp in coordination with Torrent Pharmaceutical Co. on 24.06.2012. 179 persons were benefited.  Dr. Jayeshbhai Panchiwala & Dr. Rajeshbhai Oza examined all the patients & gave them proper advice for the cure of the disease. Technician of the company examined all the patients by different instruments and gave necessary medicines as per the prescription of the Doctor.

Valmiki, Ramanagaram, Karnataka South : Branch in association with Nemma Health Centre and Western Coast Eye Hospital and Ramanagar District Hospital conducted a free health checkup camp on 27.05.2012. Senior psychiatrist Dr. C.R. Chandrashekar advised the patients, to show interest in taking their treatments and to take their medicines in proper way at correct time. He advised them to do meditation & Yoga to get good result. Dr. Rajesh and his group gave treatment for ear ailments. About 75 persons were the beneficiaries. Free eye checkup was done for 85 patients and in that 28 patients were recognised for further treatment and operation, if necessary, in Western Coast Eye Hospital. The anchoring was done by Sh. Sheshagiri Iyer.

Parashar, Jayanagar, Bangalore : Shakha jointly with sarvajna shakha, anekal organised a free medical and dental check up camp on 13.05.2012 at the old Middle School premises, Anekal, where 115 beneficiaries underwent treatment by R.V. Dental College and Dr. Jagadish, Victoria Hospital. Free medicines were provided by Maruthi Medicals. The camp was attended by Shri Srinivas, Vice President, Anekal Municipality and Shri K. Shivanna, reporter, prajavani and other vikas bandhus.

Muktsar, Punjab South : Branch arranged a medical camp in the campus of DAV Model School. Dr. Manoj B.D.S., dental surgon checked teeth of the patients. 100 patients came for checking. 120 members attended the camp and performed diferent duties. Shri Shashikant inaugurated the camp. Free medicines, toothpaste & toothbrushes were distributed among the patients.    

Talwara, Punjab North : To commemorate the martyrdom of Shri Guru Arjun Dev ji, an eye pledging camp was organised on 25th May  2012 in which as many as 81 persons bequeathed their eyes after their death to the Eye Bank PGI, Chandigarh. The camp was presided over by branch President Er. K.K. Sood and almost all the members of the branch participated.

Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana : The services of Bihari Lal Aggarwal BVP mobile clinic are now being provided at eight locations (four in rural areas and four in different localities in Ludhiana city.) The two new locations are in villages Khaira Bet and Malakpur Bet. During May, 614 patients have received treatment from the mobile dispensary. Total number of beneficiaries are 4763 since the launching of mobile clinic on October 18, 2011.

The clinic in village Malakpur bet has been named as Smt. Sunita Rani Aggarwal BVP Charitable Dispensary. It is being sponsored by Sh. Sunil Gupta and family in the sweet memory of their revered mother. A very useful agreement has been reached with Cheema Nursing Home, Hambran (Ludhiana) wherein the patients referred from the BVP mobile clinics in rural areas will be treated almost free except for the cost of medicines to be procured from the market by the patient and this too will be re-imbursed by branch on actual price basis. This additional facility has been possible through the ever willing guidance and nice cooperation of Sh. Yash Paul Gupta, National Secretary (Vanvasi Sahayata.) We express our sincere thanks to him. Our sincere thanks are also placed on record for (i) the nice patronage of Sh. Sunil Gupta & family and (ii) Cheema Nursing Home Hambran for the generous help in providing health services to the public. 

Karimganj, Assam : A free cataract detection and operation camp was organized on 22nd May 2012 at Karimganj College, with technical assistance from the Hospital, Silchar. A team of Doctors from Lion Eye Hospital attended. 181 patients were examined and medicines were distributed among them free of cost. 36 patients were selected for cataract operation (IOL) and the said operation was done successfully at Lion Eye Hospital, on 23rd May 2012. The camp was sponsored by Shri Sadhumargi Jain Sangha.

Silchar : On 27th April 2012 organized a Cattle Vaccination camp at Athal Basti on the outskirts of Silchar. The camp was attended by veterinarian Dr. Monoranjan Sarkar and his team. A total of 700 cattle including cows, buffaloes and goats were given vaccination against the dreaded foot & mouth disease. Dr. Sarkar also gave valuable suggestions to the owners of the cattle regarding protection of their livestock from various diseases. The villagers present appreciated the effort of the Parishad and requested it to conduct such camps in nearby locations. The members present assured them that their request would be considered. 

Kothrud, Pune, Maharashtra-II : In view of the general scarcity of blood in blood banks during the summer months, a blood donation camp was organized on 27th May 2012 with the co-operation of Janakalyan Blood Bank and Savangadi. 32 units of blood was collected. 10 members of the branch including the branch President Mahesh Limaye donated blood. A health check up camp was also organized for the members of 'Savangadi' an organisation of senior criticizes. Various medical tests were conducted during the camp. The camp received good response. Zonal office bearers also visited the event. 

Udhampur, Jammu-Kashmir : Branch organised a free medical camp at Raj Palace in May 2012 with the help of Amandeep Hospital, and Orthonova Hospital Amritsar. For ortho checkup branch sent 51 patients for operation in three groups with the help of Dr. Ravi Mahajan. Members decided to organise such camps regularly during the year 2012-13.

Sangrur, Punjab East : A free homeopathic medical camp was organized on 24.04.2012 at Arya Samaj Mandir. Sh. Baljeet Singh Punia President was the chief guest and Sh. Suresh Kumar Gupta presided over the function. Sh. Amarjeet Kumar Distt. Secretary also graced the occasion. Sh. Varinder Kumar Distt. President spoke about Parishad & its activities. Dr. Jagdish Rai Jain & Dr. Rajiv Jindal examined more than 125 patients. Dr. Jain Vice President of branch & a renowned doctor of the area generously donated free medicines to all the patients.

Bhawanigarh : Branch organised free medical checkup camp related to heart diseases. Dr. Naved Aslam D.M. Cardiologist from Hero D.M.C. Heart Institute Ludhiana along with his team of Doctors examined about 200 patients. Blood sugar test ECG, and Eco cardiograph tests were also provided to the patients free of cost. Medicines were also given to all the patients. Sh. Parkash Chand Garg, Chief Partiamentry Secretary Pb. Govt. was the chief guest. Sh. Nasir Ali State Vice President addressed the gathering giving detailed information of aims and objects of BVP through their activities at branch and National level. Shri Varinder Kumar Distt. President and Sh. Amarjit Kumar Distt. Secretary attended the camp and provided their services. Branch President Dr. Kashmiri Lal thanked the chief guest and the team of Doctors.

Dhuri : Branch organized a gastroenterology camp in Sanatan Dharam Hospital. 45 patients were checked by Dr. G.S. Sidhu from Patiala. Full arrangements were made by members under the observation of our President Ravinder Bansal and Distt. Secretary Amarjit Kumar. There was full co-operation of our Secretary Pardeep Mittal & Cashier Chander Shekhar & others.

Manimajra : Branch organised a blood donation camp in memory of S. Piyara Singh in Vishva Karma Mandir. The chief guest was Smt. Nirmaljeet Kaur Sagu. 50 units of blood was collected by the Doctors and the team of General Hospital Sector-6. The chief guest gave donation of ` 1000.

Phagwara, Punjab North : Free blood sugar checkup camp was organized on 01.04.2012 at the clinic of Dr. Subash Sharma retired SMO at Plahi gate. About 110 patients were examined and free medicines were distributed among them. Kamal Bansal is the Director of this permanent project. Branch set up 2 camps for giving polio drops to children up to the age of 5 years. First camp was set up at Guru Hargobind Nagar opp. Blood Bank and other at Mohalla Rattan pura. Mukand Lal Aggarwal and Harvijay Kanda are the project directors.

Anakapalli Main, A.P.East : Branch President Shri Malla Surendra organized a free eye checkup camp on 13.04.2012 at Ramalayam, ward no. 30. Shri K. Srinivasa Rao, Dr. N. Vara Prasad checked the patients and selected 33 patients for cataract operations. On 17.04.2012 branch organized a free eye & general checkup camp at Shri Sai Baba Samithi, Gandhinagar. Shri Srinivasa Rao, Opthalmist, Dr. N. Vara Prasad checked the patients and selected 44 patients for cataract operations. Branch President organized a free eye & general checkup camp at Shirdi Saibaba Temple, Munagapaka on 19.04.2012. Shri V. Eswara Rao, President, Chemists and Druggists Association, Anakapalli attended as chief guest. He sponsored medicines. Shri K. Srinivasa Rao, Dr. N. Vara Prasad checked up patients and selected 40 patients for cataract operations. Shri Mala Surendra sponsored free spectacles for poor old people. Eye and eye care convener Gold Vasu, M.V. Narayana (Dora), G. Kalyan Chakravarthy and P Raja participated and made it a success. On 21.04.2012 one more free eye checkup camp at Kaspa Street was organized at M. PL. Elementary School Kaspa Street. Dr. G. Rama Murthy (Chief Guest) Dr. N. Vara Prasad, Shri K. Srinivasa Rao attended and checked the patients. 350 patients were benefited. 44 patients were selected for cataract operations. Shri Poosarala Raja (Raja Optical) offered 50% discount on spectacles. Shri Mala Surendra sponsored free spectacles for poor old people. Branch organized a free Mega Medical camp at Santhabayalu, Gavarapalem on 28.04.2012. Smt. Dadi Padmavathi, Dadi Jaiveer, Dadi Ratnakar attended as the chief guests and lit the lamp. 52 patients were selected for eye operations. Butter, milk packets and water packets were distributed to all the patients.

Dhuri, Sangrur, Punjab East : Branch organised a pulse polio camp on 15.04.2012 at Bhalwan Adda & Luxmi Bagh School. There was full participation of our President Sh. Ravinder Bansal & Distt. Sec. Amarjit Kumar.

Rajpura : Branch jointly with Durga Mandir Sabha organised a free eye checkup camp on 17.04.2012 at Durga Mandir. 354 patiens were checked by the eye surgeon Dr. Harjinder Singh of Longia hospital and 25 cases were selected for operation. The operations will be perfomed free of cost. Chief Guest was Shri Jagdish Kumar Jagga while the camp was inaugurated by Shri Jaidev Dahara. Jagadip Sodhi was the special invitee.

Gurdaspur, Punjab North : Branch organized a free  medical camp in village Ghot Poker, in which more than 195 patients were provided with the services of medical, Gyneocology and dental experts. Free check up facility for blood pressure, blood sugar and medicines were provided to the patients by the Parishad. Dr. S.P. Singh Dental Surgeon, (also a member of the branch), Dr. Chetna and Dr. Varinder Joshi examined the patients. Sh. Rajesh Mahajan Treasurer, Sh. Vipan Mahajan, Distt. Secretary, Sh. Prem Khosla, were present on the occasion. All the doctors and lab staff/technicians were given mementoes.   

Bhuna, Haryana West : Branch organised a free medical checkup camp for the asthmatic patients on 21 April. Testing was done by spirometry machine. A    total of 46 pts were benefited. Medicines & nebulizers were given free of cost. This is the permanent project which is held on 21st of every month.

Panchkula, Haryana North : Branch held an eye checkup camp in Parishad Bhawan Sector-12A on 14 April 2012. Dr. Charanjit Singh M.S. (P.G.I.) examined 255 patients and selected 26 patients for cataract operation. Operations were performed in Civil Hospital. A large number of Parishad members were present on this occasion to help the Doctor and the patients. Shri Anil Gupta was incharge of the camp.

Birjhora, Assam : On 19.02.2012 branch organized a free health check-up cum awareness and medicine distribution camp at Tea Estate l.P. School. The inhabitants are mostly janajati people and very poor. 173 patients were examined by honourable Dr. K.N. Devsarma, retd. Joint Director State health services and Advisor BVP State. He was accompanied by office bearers & members of the branch. Medicines worth ` 7000/- were distributed free of cost.

On 19.03.2012 branch organized a camp at Tea Estate Mazdoor Union Club. One hundred & forty six janajati patients of very poor financial background were examined by honourable Dr. K.N. Devsarama, retd. Joint Director State health services and Adviser BVP. He was accompanied by office bearers & members of the branch. Medicines worth ` 5000/- were distributed free of cost as per requirement of the patients.   

Jorhat : On 26th February 2012 conducted a health awareness and health check-up camp at Borkhongia village. 13 doctors extended their services and about 300 villagers attended the camp and availed themselves of free medicines. Dr.Ranjeet Baruah offered thanks to all doctors, technicians, people present for the success of the health camp. The branch also conducted a Rural Entrepreneurship Development programme on diversification of handloom fabrics in collaboration with the Numaligarh Oil Refinery, on 6th and continued till 29th Feb. 2012 successfully. About 20 village girls, ladies took part in the training camp. Bharat Baruah IAS (retd.) inaugarted the camp.  

Ambabari, Rajasthan North East : Blood donation camp was held on 4th March 2012 in association with Vishwakarma Industries Association. Sh. Brij Kishore Sharma Hon'ble Minister of Education was the chief guest. In the camp held for SMS blood bank out of 60 registered donors 51 unit blood was collected. Gifts & certificates were presented to all blood donors. Mementos were presented to chief guest & other guests of honour & SMS blood bank team. The gifts were generously contributed by Sh. Jugal Agarwal Project Chairman.

Pilani : A health camp was organized on 20th Feb 2012 in the village Thirpali to celebrate the Golden Jubilee year of BVP and 150th Birth year of Swami Ji. The camp was inaugurated by Sh. Krishan Swaroop Sharma, President of Sewa Bharti. Health awareness was the main theme of the camp and people were made aware of the harmful effects of smoking and alcohol. Blood sugar was tested free of cost to screen the diabetes. Blood pressure was measured in all the adults attending the camp. Medicine was distributed free of cost after the consultation. Students from the Pharmacy department of BITS volunteered their services. The team consisted of Vidula, Amit, Rajat, Gautam, Anand and Vinay Sharma. Shri Sanjay Sarpanch of the village arranged for the place and other facilities. 

Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana, Punjab North : During February under the mobile clinic project were the 924 beneficiaries at all eight locations. The total number of visiting patients were 1545, among which, 91 were new registrations in Smt. Sumitra Devi Aggarwal Homeopathy Charitable Dispensary. A total number of 506 patients visited the Ayurvedic dispensary.

Panchkula, Haryana North : Branch held a dental check up camp in Mera Bachpan School Sector -10 on 06.03.2012 wherein dental health of 45 children was checked by Dr. Iti. She gave useful tips to the children on how to maintain healthy teeth by proper brushing and taking healthy food. On 15.03.2012 Dr. Gursharan Singh checked the general health of the children of the same school. He advised them to keep away from junk food as much as possible and eat fruits and vegetables regulary for good health.

Bhubaneswar North, Odisha : A free health check-up camp was organised at Sahapur in Cuttack district, situated on the bank of Birupa and the distance of this remote village is about 35 kilo meters from the district. People of this place depend upon agriculture. Majority of them are daily labourers. Excepting a health centre which is 7 kilometers away from this place no other medical facility is availabe at this area. Branch, therefore, selected this place to conduct a health camp on 14th March. We with a team of doctors arrived at a community hall of the village for the purpose. Doctors from different disciplines examined 128 poor needy patients who are suffering from different kinds of seasonal diseases. A pharmacist provided by the C.D.M.O. Cuttack went on distributing medicines.

Vatva, Amdavad, Gujarat Central : Branch organized 8th eye camp on 22nd January 2012 at Jalaram Temple, (Tribal area of Isanpur). Dr. Ajay V. Garg Eye Surgeon of Shivam Hospital, Ahmedabad devoted his precious time. Also the operation detected for cataract and Netramani implant was carried on at his hospital. The cost of operation is borne by the branch. The beneficial patient has nothing to bear and he is given free operation and follow up treatment. We have also arranged distribution of specs at token charges to the patients as per their requirements as prescribed by the doctor at the camp. The support was given by M/s Ajmera Opticals.The total patients examined were 233, wherein operation netramani was done on 32. 106 specs were given at token rate.

South Extension, Delhi South : Branch organised a blood donation camp with the help of Red Cross Society on 16.03.2012 as a part of its yearly routine activity and was well attended by its members. The camp got overwhelming response from Donors which included students, residents, members etc. The Councillor of the area also participated and donated blood. We were able to collect 322 units of blood surpassing last year figure of 306. The camp started at 9.00 A.M. and went beyond 5.00 PM as against scheduled time. Interestingly, the participants wait for the next camp.

Karimganj, Assam : A free cataract detection and operation camp was organised on 3rd January 2012 at Jain Upasana Mandir with technical assistance from Lion Eye Hospital Silchar. The camp was attended by a team of Hospital Doctors. 137 patients were examined and medicines distributed free of cost. 29 patients were selected for cataract operation (IOL) and the operation was done successfully at Lion Eye Hospital on 4th & 5th January 2012. The camp was sponsored by Jain Swetambar Terapanthy Sabha as a celebration of 50th birth anniversary of Jain Acharya Mahasromonji.

Branch organized artificial limb measurement & delivery camp on 5th Feb. 2012 at Vivekananda College of Education where 59 patients were examined by Dr. S.K. Nandi Purakayastha, renowned orthopedic surgeon & retired Principal Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Dr. B.P. Panda, renowned physiotherapist, Dr. T.K. Banik. Sri Bidyadhar Choudhary, Technician of Archana Vikalang Sahayata Kendra, Guwahati attended the camp. 8 disabled, identified in the last camp, were fitted with artificial limb, callipers, shoes etc. Moreover, a fresh 18 disabled persons were identified for fitting of such limbs. The camp was sponsored by Jain Swetambar Terapanthi Sabha as a mark of honour on the occasion of 50th birth anniversary of Jain Acharya Mahashramanji. Refreshments cost was borne by Sadhuram Saha, the proprietor of Lakhmi Gyanada Bakery.

Agartala, Tripura : East & West branches organized and conducted the medical eye treatment cum spectacles distribution camp at Lefunga (bhagaban Chowdhury Para) village about 21km. from Agartala city on 01.12.2011. The Zonal Sanskar Secretary Smt. Jaba Dhar, Tripura State Secretary Smt. Ranju Roy & social worker Smt. Rina Ghosh jointly conducted the instant eye camp and most successfully organized the function in the remotest S.T. Village area in Primary School premises. Smt. Ghosh collected all required medicines for the purpose. The eye camp was mainly headed by the renowned doctor and famous social worker Dr. Bijoy Deb Barman and the opthalmic assistant was Smt. Sipra Biswas and other assistants were all the members of the branches. 25 patients were referred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for better treatment and spectacles were distributed to 20 patients.

Una, Himachal Pradesh : A mega medical camp at kotla baba Balji Ashram was inaugurated by babaji in the presence of Vijay Chopra, Prop & Editor of Punjab Kasari news paper. About 300 patients were examined by a team of doctors led by Dr. Akshey Kumar Sharma President. About Rs 10000 worth of medicines were given free of cost. Anil Bhardwaj, Ashwani Kumar, Madan Puri, Ranbir Saini also helped in distributing medicines to the patients. At the conclusion of the camp baba balji thanked the branch for the free medical camp.

Madhu Vihar, Delhi East : Branch organised free eye check-up camp on 18th Feb. 2012 at Mayur Vihar in which more than 300 persons got their eyes checked and 100 spectacles were also distributed to the needy people.

Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch organised eye checkup camp for students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Tenughat on 19th Feb. 2012. The team was headed by Dr. R. Dwivedi eye specialist in DVC Hospital and also the president of the branch. 188 students had gone through this checkup and 26 were found to have problems in their eyes. The camp was held under the supervision of P.K. Ambastha, A.P. Mehta and Shri Bhagwan Yadav. Dr. D.K. Modi, Principal of JNV appreciated the efforts of the Parishad.

Brahmapur, Odisha : The All India annual conference of Sri Thakur Nigamananda saraswati sangha was held at kornali in ganjam district for 5 days from 26th  to 30th December 2011. About 30000 devotees from different parts of the country attended the conference. The conference mostly discussed vedic culture, sanatana dharma values and spiritual values. The branch organised a free health checkup camp with free ayurvedic medicines. Our branch members Dr. Hrushikesha Padhi, BAMS (BU), M.A. and Dr. Kiran Kumar Panigrahi, BAMS (Ayu), managed the camps in which about 695 devotees availed themselves of medical advice and free medicines.

Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar : A drawing competition among students of VIII, IX and X of Kendriya Vidyalaya-3 was organised on 26th November 2011. The topic was National flag hoisting on Mount Everest. 46 students participated. A health camp was organised for the students of Srihasha Mishra Smriti Badhira and Dumb Vidyalaya at HIG 177 Kanan Vihar on 24.01.2012. Dr. Tripathy, Dr. Padhi, and Dr. P. Satpathy examined the health of the students and Sri Sanjay, pharmacist distributed the medicines. 

Kankurgachi, West Bengal : A free eye testing camp was organized at Raichak morning Star Club at Tiarberia Primary School, village Tiarberia, Paschim Medinipur on 20th November 2011. About 720 patients attended of which operations were done for 93 persons. Spectacles were given to 509 persons and medicines to the rest donated by S.L. Dokasnia, S.L. Kedia President and founder & past President T.C. Marda. Free 12th Handicapped equipment measurement camp was held on 4th December 2011 organized at Khalna Vivekananda dishan Pally Unnyan Samity and Chittabandhan. About 186 handicapped attended the camp for measurement. 13th Handicap equipment free distribution camp was held on 8th January 2012 in memory of Late Thakaarshi Das & Basanti Devi Bajaj, at new Haryana Bhawan at Kankurgachia, Bara Park, Kolkata coorganised by the samity & chittabandhan. Tri cycles, wheel chairs and artificial legs, hands, shoes, clutches and support were distributed to among 100 needy handicaps. Shri Sanwarmal Bajaj inaugurated. Chief Guest Justice & Ex. Governor Shyamal Sen Sadan Pundey Hon'ble Minister West Bengal, Sri Sitaram Sharma, Hony Council of Belarus, Purushotam Bhoot Founder, S.L. Dokania, Chairman Sampark N.L. Singhania, Zonal Secretary Sankar also attended.

Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana, Punjab North : Undertook the following programmes under health care during December 2011. Two more locations have been added for the public service under the mobile clinic project. The total number of beneficiaries were 1184 at all the six locations. Two free medical camps were organized under the mobile clinic project. First camp was held in Kehar Sigh colony on December 17, 2011 in which 110 patients registered for the treatment. The second camp was held in Shri Dandi Swami Golok Godham, on 22nd December in whcih the total beneficiaries were 50. The total number of visiting patients was 1577, among which 107 were the new registrations in the Smt. Sumitra Devi Aggarwal homoeopathy charitable dispensary. A total of 515 patients visited the ayurvedic charitable dispensary.

Janakpuri Main, Delhi South : On 26th November branch organized a meeting for the eye donation project. The main speaker was Sh. K.B. Mahajan Convenor eye donation. 14 members pledged to donate eyes.

Vidyaranya, Karnataka South : Dental health education and check-up camp was organized on 20th January 2012 for below poverty line school children of Sri Virupaksha Vidya Samsthan, Hampinagar, through DAPM R.V. Dental College & Hospital. 150 students of standard 1 to 7 attended free check up camp. 

Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch organized blood donation camp jointly with gairmajarua gramin branch on the eve of Netaji Subhash Jayanti on 23.01.2012 at Station Club. The 8 member’s team led by Dr. Mohanty and Dr. S.K. Sinha from Red Cross Society, B.S. Sity collected 32units of blood. The programme was formally inaugurated by CE and National convener (Vistar) Er. G.P. Singh assisted by State G.S. Er. P.K. Ambastha. They addressed the audience explaining the contribution of Netaji and importance of blood donation. Main donors were State G.S.P.K. Ambastha, branch Pres. Dr. Dwivedi, Dr. S. Goswami, Dr. Nitish, Er. N.K. Chandel, Er Shashi Shekhar, Er. D.K. Soni, Dr. Poddar, Shri R.K. Choudhary, K.P. Banerjee, B.N. Dubey, Manjeet Bhatia, Nageshwar Prajapati, Anil Prajapati. The only lady who donated blood was Smt. Krishna Dutt.

Una, Himachal Pradesh : Branch organised a diagnostic camp on 28th Nov. at Baba Bal's Ashram at Kotla in Una Distt. In this diagnostic camp which started with blood sugar check up of Baba Balji, 100 patient's bloodsugar, blood pressure and eye checkup was done. Baba Balji blessed & praised the activities. He requested to organise multispeciality medical camp at his ashram on 5th Feb. 2012. Present in this camp were Dr. Akshey President, Dr. Vishal eye surgeon, Dr. K.K. Bhardwaj and others.

Udhampur, Jammu Kashmir : Branch organised two camps for poor in the local Raj Palace community hall on 10th and 11th of December 2011. On the first day 97 patients were examined by Dr. Indermohan Sharma of Orthonova Hospital Amritsar. Doctors from K.D. Hospital examined children under Muskan project.  397 patients were examined.. 

Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana, Punjab North : Under the health care programmes branch undertook three permanent projects during November, 2011.  Bihari Lal Aggarwal Charitable Mobile Clinic was re-launched on October 18, 2011 and it is being operated at four locations in Ludhiana, largely inhabited by slum dwellers and poor families. The total number of beneficiaries were 258. In Smt. Sumitra Devi Aggarwal Homoepathy Charitable Dispensary the total number of visiting patients was 1600, among which 158 were the new registrations. In Ayurvedic Charitable Dispensary a total of 485 patients visited the dispensary.

Karimganj, Assam : Branch observed world disabled day on 3rd December 2011 at the branch premises sponsored by Brindaban Ray Memorial Trust, Suprakandi Karimganj. Disabled persons of the locality were provided with blankets. Branch organized an eye screening cum cataract operation (IOL) camp at Karimganj Law College, on 8th November 2011. A team of Doctors from Lions eye Hospital, Silchar examined the patients. 24 patients were selected for operation who were operated at Lions eye Hospital, Silchar. The camp was sponsored by Maharani Saree, Kolkata.

Tezpur, Assam : Branch organised a free eye camp at Solagaon on 23rh October in association with Sankardev Nethralaya, Guwahati. 260 patients were examined & treated out of which 52 were detected of cataract who were operated on 14th & 16th Nov. 2011 free of cost including trasportation expenses. The BVP Netralaya hospital was inaugurated by Parishad's founder president Tikam Ch. Khatri on the same day. The piece of land was donated to the Parishad by Shri Jawahar Lal Dhadha in loving memory of his late wife Pushpa Devi.

Kankurgachi, West Bengal : Branch organised free handicapped limb measurement camp on 4th September 2011 at Haryana Bhawan. 165 handicapped were present. Free distribution of fruit, biscuits and sweets to 110 patiens of SBS Marwary Hospital was done on 16th September 2011 which was donated by Arun Kumar Patodia. S.L. Kedia, President, Mrs. Kabita and others were present. Free handicapped distribution camp was organized. 300 persons including handicapped were present. Swami Viroganandaji Maharaj of Ramkrishan Math, Yogodhyan, Mr. Shyamal Sen Ex. Governor (Ex Judge) Inaugurated the camp. Speeches were given by Swami ji, Ex Governor & other dignarities Sadhan Pandey Hon'ble Minister Sudip Banerjee Hon'ble Minister of Govt. of West Bengal and Govt. of India by founder & past President TC Marda and S.L. Kedia President. 18 tricycles, 2 wheel chairs, 45 artificial legs, hands, 10 hearing aids were distributed. Free distribution of lunch and dinner to 95 patients of SBS Marwary Hospital was undertaken on 2nd October 2011 donated by Anup Agarwal and S.L. Kedia. Free eye testing camp was organized at Raichak Primary School on 9th October 2011. About 700 patients attended the camp out of which operations were done for 98 persons.

Sirhind, Punjab East : Branch held its blood donation camp on 30th October 2011 at Mai Ananti Dharamshala. 5 units were donated to the civil hospital fatehgarh sahib. Parishad decided to hold blood donation camp after every 3 months.

Dr. Kitchlu, Ludhiana, Punjab North :  A free camp for blood sugar check-up and diabetic treatment was organized in the premises of BVP Viklang Sahayata Kendra on 17 October 2011. 81 persons attended the camp and 18 reported high sugar. The tests were conducted through the courtesy of M/s Bayer Zygus Pharma Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Meenu Kochhar, BAMS, Medical Supdt., examined the patients and provided them the required medicines along with some useful tips to overcome this disease. The services of Bihari Lal Aggarwal BVP Mobile Clinic were launched at five sites in four different localities in Ludhiana on 18 October 2011. The project is being run by Dr. Kitchlu branch under the aegis of BVP Charitable Trust Punjab. The first clinic is named as Janaki Dass Jain charitable dispensary. It is situated in the premises of Dr. Ambedkar Vichaar Manch in Ambedkar Colony, Industrial area. This moble clinic is sponsored by M/s Kangaroo Industries and was inaugurated by Jainender Jain on 18 October 2011.The other four sites are two in Sandhu Nagar and one each in Garewal Colony Sant Nagar and Chand Colony in Haibowal Khurd. Shri Pawan Aggarwal, President, Seera Road Industrial Association and the representative of Shri Bihari Lal Aggarwal family was very kind to announce the major financial support for this project on behalf of his family. Sh. Rajesh President, Dr. Ambedkar Vichaar Manch provided the facilities of his office complex for the clinic and said that he will be ever willing to join this good venture of BVP. Shri Yash Paul Gupta, National Secretary, Vanvasi Sahayata Yojana gave his valuable guidance and blessings for the success of the project. The function was presided over by Sh. Ashok Gupta, Prant Convener (Environment). 

B-Block, Janakpuri, Delhi South : After motivation for eye donation the branch has so far collected 87 pledge forms. Further the branch has embarked upon a solution in giving a well designed certificate of appreciation duly framed to donors which, if hung at prominent place in the house will serve as a reminder. A function was organized on 16.10.2011 to distribute these certificates. S.L. Batra, a well known Eye Bank management expert and H.C. Gandhi incharge DDU Hospital addressed the gathering.

Bhubaneswar North, Odisha : Branch organized a health camp at Hazipur of Jagatsinghpur district on 5th November 2011. The village is very poor as it is situated 25 kilometers from the district headquarter and the Chief Medial Officer extended their helping hand by providing medicines, doctors and a pharmacist. The camp was inaugurated by Rabinarayan Jena, Chairman of Biridi Block. Doctors from different disciplines examined 152 patients and medicines were distributed free of cost.

Pilani, Rajasthan North East : A health awareness camp was organized on 9th October 2011 at Birla Public School and Sewa Bharti Centre. Hypertension, obesity diabetes, osteoporosis, asthma and COPD. Bone mineral density, lung function and blood sugar tests were done free of cost. The camp was supervised by Dr. R.P. Pareek, President of branch. Students of BITS Pilani pursuing their MPH course volunteered their services under the leadership of Dr. Santosh Gupta. The ayurveda specialist Dr. Ramesh P. Jaju explained the importance of diet and yoga in the prevention of diseases. More than 125 persons were examined in the camp. The Principal of BPS, Capt. in (IN) Alok Sen (Retd) thanked Dr. Pareek and his team for their commendable work.

Vivekanand, Sultanpuri, Delhi north  : Branch organised a seminar on Anaemia-Rakt ki Kami-in young girls due to modren diet patron in the premises of S.D. Saraswati Bal Mandir. About 150 girls of class 7th-12th participated. Senior gynaecologist Dr. Vijaya Prabha delivered a talk for one hour about the food intake and menstrual loss imbalance in the body and how they slowly become anaemic. In the end children asked questions for half an hour.  Branch organised a seminar on prevention of cervical cancer in ladies and prevention of disease- pneumonia prevalent in children. Ladies above the age of 30 years participated. Dr. Vijaya Prabha started with structure of the uterus, Vaginal discharge cervical infections leading to cervical cancer, ITS prevention through diet, yoga and pranayam. Sanyamita and simple life style and last but not the least vaccination against cervical cancer. She discussed about the prevalence of pneumonia among disease children death rate due to pneumonia in India is much more than those due to malaria and typhoid. So comparing to the other diseases Child should be vaccinated against pneumonia since the age of 6 weeks.

Janakpuri Main, delhi south : On 2nd September the branch organised a talk on health by Dr. Ashok & Dr. Mangla. 68 members participated. On 9th September a talk on health was delivered by Dr. Rajeev Sharma. On 14th Sept. a heart check-up camp was organized in coordination with Medanta-the Medicity Gurgoan. The guests of honour were H.L. Malhotra eminent Industrialist & B.L. Parasher National Secretary. 124 patients benefitted from this camp.

Malerkotla, punjab EasT : Branch ganized B Vaccination camp at village Badla. Team of Doctors from C.M.C. & Hospital Ludhiana provided their services for Vaccination to 442 persons. Cost of all 442 Injections was paid by Sardar Gurnam Singh Pandher and Sardarni Charanjit Kaur Pandher, Vikas Rattan of BVP. A total of three Injections are required for complete vaccination of hepetitis B. Second dose of the series was provided on 11th September 2011 and 3rd dose will be provided after 6 months.

Dhuri : Branch organized a homeopathic camp on 02.10.2011 at Shiv Mandir. Dr. Ramandeep Kaur examined100 patients and gave free medicines to all. Raj Singla Advocate, Ravinder Bansal and others visited the camp. In future these camps will be arranged in slum areas also. 

NIT, Faridabad, haryana south : Branch organised its first programe,  a blood donation camp at santo ka gurudwara. 40 units of blood was donated. Dinesh Raghuvanshi a renowed poet graced the occasion along with Raj Kumar Aggarwal Prant General Secretary.

Silchar, ASSAM : An Eye camp was held at Iringmara Tea Estate on 2nd August 11 .The management of Tea Estate sponsored the medicines, spectacles and lunch. 110 patients were examined by medical team from Silchar Lions Eye Hospital. 10 patients were screened for cataract operation. The branch thanked Silchar Lions Hospital and Kedia, Managing Director, Iringmara Tea Estate for his generous help. Cattle vaccination camp was organized at Rosekandy village on cattle were immunized for FMD. De worming tablets were distributed amongst the owners of the cattle. The medicine will be administered after a week. Branch incurred an expenditure of Rs.4000/- for purchasing medicines. Dr. Manoranjan Sircar and his three assistants administered vaccine to cattle.

Tezpur : Branch opened an Ayurved Treatment Centre on 2nd October 2011 as their Permanent Sewa Project known as "Sewa Prakalp" located at Solagaon,Goroimari,in association with Kedarmal Memorial Ayurvedic Charitable Hospital, Tezpur wherein the patients will be diagnosed and the medicines will be distributed free of cost.

Bhubaneshwar, Odisha : On 17th Sept ‘2011 Health Check-up Camp and free distribution of medicines was done at Hirapur upgraded Primary School. Teachers, students and villagers were given medicines. 5 Doctors and 5 members of the branch attended the camp and explained about Hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation to them. Branch received full co-operation from villagers and teachers. To maintain continuity of health camp next camp will be arranged on 14th Dec. 2011.

Puri : Branch organised blood donation camp on 15th Aug.Shri A.N. Singhdeo, Hon’ble Minister, Planning, Co-ordination and Excise inaugurated the Camp. CDMO, Dr. Moharana, Collector Puri Shri F.C. Satpathy were also present during the camp. 24 Units were collected.

Vivekanand (Patiala), Punjab East : All the branches of Patiala Nagar with the help of Aman Deep Hospital, Amritsar organised a free medical checkup camp in Raj Kamal Palace on 28th August. Dr. Avtar Singh, Dr. Prabhjot Singh, Dr. Ravi Mahajan and Dr. Prahlad Duggal with their staff provided their services to the patients. The team of Doctors examined 250 patients and distributed the medicines to the patients. Selected patients, required for surgery, were sent for free of cost operation to the Aman Deep Hospital, Amritsar.
