National Sanskrit Group Song and Folk Song Competition

Third
National Sanskrit Group-Song and Folk-Song Competition was
conducted on the 8th and 9th
December, 2007 at Faridabad. A record number of 35 Prants
participated.

DAV Public School,
Kurukshetra won First Place in Sanskrit Song
in National Competition (2007-08)

D.A.V. Public School, Kurukshetra (
Haryana North) won the first place in Sanskrit Song while
Central Academy Sr. Sec. School, Bhilwara (Rajasthan Madhya) was
placed first in Folk Song.

For a number of years,
Bharat Vikas Parishad has been organising the full text of
Vandemataram Competition to instill patriotic feelings among
the children.
From the year 2005-06, the Vandemataram
Competition has been renamed as National Sanskrit Group Song and
Folk Song Competition. Accordingly, in this competition, the first song is to
be a patriotic song in Sanskrit and the second song should be a
folk song of any state. This competition is conducted at branch
level, the state level and All India level.

In the first National
level competition in the revised format was held in
2005-06 on the 21st and 22nd January, 2006
at Pali (Rajasthan West) where 24 teams from various
Prants participated.

D.B.V.N. Vidya Mandir, Jammu stood First in
Sanskrit Song
in National Competition (2005-06)
|
In the second All
India competition held during 2006-07 at Nasik on the
6th and 7th January, 2007, teams from
26 Prants participated. The teams from Tamil Nadu
North and Orissa Prants stood first in (a) Sanskrit Song and (b)
Folk Song Competitions respectively.

and Shri Rameshwar Lal Kabra (Industrialist and President, Van
Bandu Parishad) graced the
occasion. |
