Patron Justice D.R. Dhanuka and former National President Shri R.P. Sharma handing over Charter
for a new branch in Maharashtra

Each Member - Enroll One New Member
Our organization, Bharat Vikas Parishad, has made substantial progress. Despite all ups and downs, Parishad has attained a place of pride among the organizations doing social work. Running more than 1,250 branches with a membership of more than 55,000 families is no small achievement.

But growth, progress, expansion are all relative terms. How much growth progress and expansion will we call satisfactory? Keeping in view the huge population of our country, its bulging middle classes of 25 crores, the vast multitude of urban elites, the number of branches and the membership seem to be minuscule. Moreover making no progress means stagnation, and decay.

Let us once again remind ourselves why should we enroll new members:
(1) New members join with a new zeal and ideas and spread our massage among new people.
(2) Our branches become strong financially and new resources are discovered.
(3) Additional man power becomes available to execute Sewa & Sanskar projects.
(4) Usually some old members leave every year due to various reasons. The loss is compensated by the new comers.

It is also equally important to stop old members from leaving. Some members become inactive as they feel neglected and not being given due respect and attention. Also the programmes of the branches are not very attractive and interesting. The branch office bearers should contact such members personally and try to remove the causes due to which the members are leaving the branch.

The branch president and secretary should try to involve maximum number of members in Sanskar and Sewa projects. They should be given responsibilities in the projects of there liking. Also their names should appear prominently in the news sent to the local newspapers and NITI.

The above steps will stop the erosion of strength of the branch.
