Senior Citizens’ Camps - Praudh Sanskar Shivirs

 

21st All India Praudh Sanskar Shivir, Annavaram (Andhra Pradesh)
(28th February & 1st March 2015)

Bharat Vikas Parishad conducted its 21st All India Praudh Sanskar Shivir at Annavaram on the 28th February & 1st March 2015. According to the Puranas, it is the famous adobe of Lord Satyanarayana Swamy who instantly bestows boom to his devotees. It is also a famous hub for marriages. 464 delegates from various Prants attended the Shivir. The largest contingent of 152 delegates  had come from Andhra Pradesh alone.

Shivir was inaugurated by Sri Pari Poornananda Swamiji, Sri Radhananda Bharati Swamy, Dr. M.R.V. Sarma, Sri B.Ch. Subba Rao, Sri K.R.K. Murthy, Sri S.N. Panda by lighting the lamp.  Dr. N.B.V. Tilak, President, Rajahmundry Branch sang Vandemataram. Dr. M.R.V. Sarma, State President gave his opening message. Sri B.Ch. Subba Rao, National Vice President and K.R.K. Murthy, Zonal Patron also addressed the Shivir.

Shivir was inaugurated by Sri Paripoornanda Swami who in his an inspiring speech explained the five Moola Sutras of Parishad viz., Sampark, Sahayog, Sanskar, Seva, Samarpan and also Patriotism. A Souvenir and a booklet were released by Swamiji.
 

 

Session -1 was presided over by Sri K.R.K. Murthy, Zonal Patron. Sri V. Bhagaiahji, Akhil Bharata Bouthik Pramukh (RSS) was main speaker. He interacted with the delegates and engaged their attention by explaining the practice of Omkara, Yoga, and Meditation.  

Session - 2 was presided by Justice S. Parvata Rao, National Patron. Sri V. Bhagaiahji again addressed to the delegates. In his inspiring and ideological speech, he explained the importance of combined / joint family system and social service with unity. He also explained the importance of Varnaprastha in the life of every Indian. He gave tips to delegates for leading a happy and divineful life, and advised the organizers to change the name of “Praudh Sanskar Yojana” to “Praudh Sadhana Yojana”, because all the persons who sat there had sanskar and they only needed sadhana to serve the society.

Session-3 was presided over by Sri Mithilesh Kumar Varma, Chairman Praudh Sanskar Yojana. Among the speakers were Sri Viswanadha Gopala Krishna and Acharya Dorbhala Prabhakara Sarma who spoke on protection and transmission of cultural and moral values in society.

Day – 2; Session 4 was presided over by Dr. V. Sankar, National Additional Secretary General. Dr. R.K. Prasad M.S. Ortho gave a power point presentation on food habits, Yoga, and tips on good health which were very useful to the senior citizens in relieving them from heavy and chronic pains and other health troubles through simple exercises and techniques.

Session 5 was presided over by Dr. M.R.V. Sarma. The main speaker Sri B.Ch. Subba Rao explained about the Bharatiya culture and patriotism.  

Sri S.N. Panda, Sri Kasi.V.Rao, and Sri B.Ch. Subba Rao conducted the concluding and Muktachintan Bithak and felicitated the Host Prant Team. Sri Dh. P. Sastry, State General Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
