Be a partner in development of the Nation

Bharat Vikas Parishad is striving for the development of the Nation. You can also participate in this effort  by (a) becoming a member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, (b) enrolling yourself as a “Vikas Ratna” or “Vikas Mitra”  and (c)  donating for various sewa &  sanskar projects.

Donations to Bharat Vikas Parishad are eligible for income tax exemption under section 80-G of Income Tax Act. Donations may kindly be sent by cheque / demand draft in favour of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Bharat Vikas Bhawan, BD Block, Behind Power House, Pitampura, Delhi-110034.
 
 
 
  Our country has made good progress in the field of literacy. At the time of Independence only 30% of our countrymen were literate but now the figure has crossed 70 per cent. But still much remains to be done. In the rural areas of Bihar, U.P., Rajasthan and Orissa the female literacy rate is as low as 20 per cent. Lacs of slum children of school going age can be seen playing in the streets and picking up rags from dustbins for the whole day.

The Parishad has decided to do something in this direction through its branches. Informal evening schools have been opened in slum areas where street children can learn 3 Rs after their working hours.

Women members are encouraged to educate illiterate women who work as domestic help. Village Committees are also paying attention to this problem.

 The Parishad hopes to make an impact in tackling this problem.
