Be a partner in development of the Nation

Bharat Vikas Parishad is striving for the development of the Nation. You can also participate in this effort  by (a) becoming a member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, (b) enrolling yourself as a “Vikas Ratna” or “Vikas Mitra”  and (c)  donating for various sewa &  sanskar projects.

Dr. Kitchlu Ludhiana, Punjab North :
Branch in association with Charitable Trust Punjab, organized a Viklang Sahayata camp on 13-09-09 at Viklang Sahayata Kendra, Rishi Nagar Ludhiana. On this occasion artificial limbs, calipers and hearing aids were given to 37 needy persons, who had come from various places for this purpose. The branch remitted Rs. 55000/- towards Viklang Sahayata and Rs. 20,000/- as members' contribution to the Trust. Rs. 15,000/- had been deposited by the members directly with the Trust. Nirbal ke Bal Ram Satsang Sabha Regd sponsored the camp and contributed Rs. 11000/- towards the same. Smt. Manorama Sharma, President Narinder Mittal, state secretary, Punjab North and convener of Viklang Sahayata presided over.

Madhu Vihar Delhi East : On 13th Sept. 09 branch alongwith BVP Muzaffarnagar Virat branch organised Shivir at Town Hall Muzaffarnagar and fitted artificial limbs to about 115 Viklang persons and distributed Baisakhi to 50 persons. On 10 Oct. 09 branch adopted one handicapped child and gave full year cost of Rs. 5500/- to handicapped welcome society. At this time all higher dignities of BVP East Delhi President Sh. D.P. Gupta, Delhi Region Secretary Sh. Madan Malik, official Sh. Pradeep Gupta were present.

B-Block, Janakpuri, Delhi: A very large number of items were distributed to Poor & Needy such as Thirty one calipers, one Foot, one Tricycle, one Wheel Chair, fourteen Hearing aids, Twelve Baisakhies, Three Elbow Cruches etc. to Viklangs. Further, 600 blank CDs were given to two blind schools as demanded by them.

Shivaji Ludhiana,
Punjab North : Branch organized a camp for ‘Viklang Sahayata’ on 14th June, 2009 at Shiv Shakti Mandir, Kidwai Nagar, Ludhiana in which a number of artificial limbs and hearing aids were provided to the poor and needy. The camp was inaugurated by Sh. Sat Pal Gosainji, honorable Deputy Speaker of Punjab. In the camp 25 patients were provided with the artificial limbs. 30 patients were provided with hearing aids and 4 patients were provided with walking sticks.

Himachal Pradesh
: BVP Viklang Punarvas Sansthan organized two Viklang Camps during the Lidber Mela. On 25th March, 09 two Viklangs were provided with artificial limbs by the SDM Kangra Shri Pradeep Thakur when he paid a visit to this Sansthan and again on 27th March, 09 Annual Camp was held in which 9 Vikalangs were provied artificial limbs and wheel chair. Dr. Prem Bhardwaj H.A.S. (Retd.) was the chief guest and Shri Ravinder Sharma, Sr. Branch Manager, State Bank of Patiala, Nagrota Bagwan was the guest of honour whose bank sponsored the camp.

Mrs. Swaran Lata Pratap Kaisth, Patron, spoke about the activities of the Parishad and Shri Ramchand Mehta, Project Manager spoke about the activities of the Viklang Sansthan and Mrs. Himadri Soni presented vote of thanks with special reference to the bank for sponsoring the camp and M/s Ashok Tent House for providing his services to decorate the function venue.

Suratgarh, Rajasthan North
: Branch organised a Viklang Camp on 18.02.2009 at Suratgarh in which artificial limbs, tricycles, calipers and special shoes were provided to 28 handicapped persons free of cost. The total expenditure incurred was Rs. 55000/- for this project. In this programme Dr. K. L. Bansal, Prantiya President, Shri Gopi Ram Godara Branch President and other BVP members were present.

Dharwad, Karnataka North : Branch conducted the Viklang Sahayata Shivir on 01.03.09. 42 deserving handicapped persons from Dharwad and other districts were given Artificial Limbs free of cost. One young lady who had lost both working hands was given both working hands and similarly others received artificial legs and limbs.

This camp was arranged in collaboration with Sri Pandit Ananth Kher Charitable Trust and Bharat Vikas Parishad. The function was arranged at Bhagini Samaj Hall and was attended by dignitaries and general public of Dharwad. Food arrangements were made for patients.

Shri B. K. Kale Dharwad branch president presided over the function. Shri B. V. Bhat Dy. Director, Education, Shri C. J. Kamalani and Mohan Lal Bhandari, Industrialist and Social Local Dignitaries were chief guests.

Thermal Bokaro, Jharkhand : Branch organized Viklang Sahayata Shivir on 15.03.09 at Station Club. The programme was formally inagurated by the chief guest cum project head of DVC BTPS Shri A.N. Mishra. Altogether 75 artificial limbs were provided to the needy physically handicapped persons. They were provided artificial legs, hearing aids, tricycles, ortho shoes and crutches. Shri K.K. Sinha, Shri G.P. Singh addressed the gathering. Manch Sanchaln was performed by Smt. Rinki Prasad. All the distinguished guests and members took part in dinner with physically handicapped persons.

Adampur Doaba, Punjab East : Branch sponsored one needy person Sh. Satvinder Singh s/o. Sh. Baldev Singh r/o Haripur for fixing lower limb through BVP Charitable Trust, Ludhiana.

West Bengal : Prant organized a Viklang Sahayata Camp on 4th January, 2009 at New Haryana Bhawan, Kolkata jointly with Kolkata Marwari Mahila Samiti. About 95 handicapped persons were examined in the camp. The camp was conducted by the technicians of Patna Centre of our Parishad.

On 1st February, 2009 artificial organs were distributed among 53 handicapped persons. 33, Nos. of artificial limbs, 1 artificial hand, 13 hearing aids, 4 sticks, 2 tricycle etc. were distributed. The programme was inaugurated by Justice Shyamal Kumar Sen, former Chairperson, West Bengal Human Rights Commission. Shri Satyanarayan Gupta, Shri Ram Gopal Agarwal, Shri Ratan Shah, Shri P.D.Bhoot, Shri Nirmalya Bhattacharyya, Smt. Sarda Lakhotia and other members graced the occasion.

Bangalore, Karnataka South
: Bhumi pooja was performed on 12th February, 2009 in the august presence of Shri S.M. Prabhakar, Shri K.G. Subbarama Setty, chief patron Shri N. Daulath Rao, National Addl. Secretary General and a large number of members of BVP for establishing a workshop for manufacturing artificial limbs, etc. for the use of  physically handicapped persons.

This project will come up near Jan Seva Trust School on Bangalore-Magadi Road, at a distance of about 20 kms from Bangalore City. This project is being undertaken in Karnataka for the first time. We expect to complete the project expeditiously.

Patna, South Bihar : "I used to see the Vikalang Hospital coming up on my way to Gaya every time and was inquisitive to know what is happening inside. I spoke to our cabinet Minister Hon'ble Shri Nand Kishore Yadav, who narrated to me the activities and achievements of this organization" - said the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar, while inaugurating the 9th Foundation Day function of Bharat Vikas Vikalang Punarvas Kendra and Sanjay Anand Vikalang Hospital cum Research Centre at Patna on Dec., 21, 2008. He was extremely happy to visit the Hospital and after inspecting the Prosthesis and Orthotics Audiology and Physiotherapy departments and their functioning. The influx of the patients, who were served, fascinated the Chief Minister as well as the Health Minister.          
The Hon'ble Chief Minister expressed his deep concern for rehabilitation of the handicapped persons in Bihar and declared that very shortly he will finalise Bihar Government's programme and the target for rehabilitation of the handicapped after discussions, involving the Govt. of Bihar, Govt. of India, World Bank and the office bearers of Bharat Vikas Vikalang Nyas for proper utilization of the funds earmarked for the purpose. He appreciated the efforts of BVP/ Bharat Vikas Viklang Nyas to reach out to the needy in the remotest areas and to provide service to them at their door step. He announced his decisions to entrust the responsibility to the Hon'ble Health Minister as Coordinator for the rehabilitation of handicapped.

Before inaugurating the functions, the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Shri Nitish Kumar and the Health Minister, Shri Nand Kishore Yadav visited the surgery department and were happy to see the patients of correction surgery (30 in numbers) who were provided surgical operations on Dec., 20, 2008. The operation theatre and the arrangements and equipments in surgery department of the hospital impressed both of them.

The Chief Minister announced his commitment to join the "Vikalang Mitra" programme of Bharat Vikas Viklang Punarvas Kendra & Sanjay Anand Viklang Hospital with his monthly contribution and instructed his secretariat to arrange deduction of the amount from his salary every month and deposit in the bank account of the Viklang Hospital.

The Foundation Day functions were attended and addressed by Shri I.D. Ojha, National Working President, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shri Sunil Anand, Chairman Sanjay Anand Foundation, New York. Shri D.B. Gupta, Chairman Bharat Viklang Nyas presided and welcomed the dignitaries & other guests of the day. Shri B.K. Jain General Secretary, Bharat Vikas Viklang Nyas presented the achievements and the programmes. Prof. B.N. Jha, President BVP South Bihar presented vote of thanks. Er. D.N. Mathur, Vice Chairman compered the programmes.

 The functions was attended by over 300 philanthropists (ladies & gents). BVP members and their families, Doctors, Engineers, Professionals and other social dignitaries of the state besides Smt. Anupama Anand and Kumari Ashimi Anand, who had come from New York exclusively for participating in the programmes.

 The function commenced with Vande Mataram and concluded with National Anthem.

Lucknow Poorvi, Avadh-Goraksh
: Branch and Seva trust Lucknow, organized a Viklang Sahayata Shivir from 19-12-2008 to 21-12-2008 at Vikas Khand, Gomati Nagar, Lucknow. About 150 handicapped people registered in the camp and got the limbs etc. This was the 18th camp organized by the branch. Till date about 5000 handicapped persons got benefitted from these camps and the equipments amounting to Rs 66 Lakhs were distributed. This year 3 hands, 14 legs, 20 callipers, 25 tricycles, 8 wheel chairs, blind man sticks and walking sticks were distributed during the camps. After this Hearing aids and Spectacles were also distributed to the handicapped.

The branch is runing the rehabilitating center at the venue and imparting training to the handicapped in different disciplines and helping to make them self dependent. Mr. Rajnish Mehta, Deputy General Manager, Hindustan Petroleum Corpn. Ltd was the Chief Guest along with Shri K.Vasudev Nayak, Asstt. General Manager, Corporation Bank. Shri Nayak assured that after getting the training from the centre, the handicapped will be provided the loans @4% by the Bank. Shri Swadesh Arora, Rashtriya Salahakar; Shri Mukesh Jain, Org. Secy. Zone-VI, alongwith other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.

Karimganj, Assam
:Branch organized the 18th artificial limb measurement and delivery camp on 16-11-2008 at Karimganj College. Out of 69 patients 15 physically handicapped were identified for providing artificial limbs, calipers, shoes etc. 21 physically handicapped who were identified in our previous camp were fitted with artificial limbs, calipers, shoes etc. and three persons were given three tricycles. The camp was sponsored by Shri Vijay Chand Lalani and Shri Om Prakash Jain in memory of their beloved mother late Banwari Devi Lalani and late Kamala Devi Jain.

Nagrota Bagwan, Himachal Pradesh: Coinciding with the Foundation Day of BVP, the Vikalang Punarvas Sansthan, Nagrota Bagwan organised a Vikalang Sahayata Camp on 4th July, 2008. The Sate Bank of India Ghorab (Nagrota Bagwan) sponsored the camp. Gen V.N. Sharma, COAs (Retd.) and his spouse Mrs. Swaroop Sharma, chief Patron of this sansthan graced the function. Shri Surjeet Kaushal, Senior branch manager, SBI and the Principal Dr. Chhavi Kashyap of Rainbow International School were also present besides the members and Office Bearers of this Sansthan. Six Viklangs were provided with artificial limbs/appliances in the camp. Students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir rendered the national song Vande Matram and Rainbow International School presented the cultural items.

Mrs Swaran Lata Pratap Kaisth, Patron and Ex branch president spoke about the foundation of Bharat Vikas Parishad and its expansion since 1963 and highlighted the achievements of this organisation. Shri Ram Chandra Mehta, SAO (Retd), Project Manager explained the Sewa Prakalp of Vikalang Sahayata Yojana in general and about the achievements of this Vikalang Sansthan in particular since 1992. He thanked the Management of the SBI for their cooperation and financial help, from time to time, for this noble cause. Gen. Sharma admired the Sewa Prakalp of the Parishad, specially the Vikalang Sahayata Yojana and the high morale of the physically challenged persons.

Paldi, Gujarat: A Vikalang camp was arranged on 31st May, 2008 at Umargam sponsored by Prakash Kanungo brother of Shri Narpatbhai Kanungo, owner of Prakash Steelage Ltd.

The Diagnostic camp was arranged on 17
th May, 2008 wherein a total 106 patients were examined by our team and Upper limbs 13, Lower Limbs 15, Calipers 17, Crutches 24, Surgical Boot 03,Stick 4, Foot Drop 2, i.e. total 78 articles were distributed on 31st May, 2008. The program was arranged by Prakash Steelage Ltd., Rotary Club of Umargam, BVP Sanchore and Mumbai Central and appliances were supplied by BVP  Vikalang Kendra Gujarat.

Silchar, Assam : Branch organised the 4th Vikalang Shivir of 2008 on 15th June,2008 at the office of the branch.Nine patients, whose measurements were taken in the earlier camp, turned up to collect their limbs. The age of the youngest child to receive caliper was 3 years. Further, a donation of Rs.10,000/- was sent to Assam Bharat Vikas Foundation (Archana Vikalanga Sahayata Kendra) for their all-round support, in organising the Vikalang Shivir.

Silchar, Assam :
The branch organized the 3rd Shivir of 2008 on 18th May, 2008. The programme was kicked off by a formal function, which was attended by Shri L.M.Suklabaidya, MP, Loksabha, Dr.S.S.Dhar, Principal, Silchar Medical College, Dr. A.K.Sipani, HOD, Dept of Orthopeadics and others. More than 20 orthopaedically handicapped patients reported at the camp & were supplied with artificial limbs and measurements were also taken to deliver limbs in the next camp.

 Badrayan, Karnataka South: Under vikalanga sahayata yojana branch held its Annual celebration on 19th April 08 at RV Institute of Management, Jayanagar, Bangalore. Branch distributed 2 wheel chairs, 2 Blind sticks, 6 Braille  watches and a Braille Typewriter to needy persons / Institution of Mobility India and Mathruchaya Institution. Shri KG Subbarama Setti, Zonal patron was the Chief guest. Shri YV Gundu Rao, Humorist entertained the gathering of 85 members and well wishers.

Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand :  Branch organised “Viklang Sahayata Shivir” on 13/04/08 at Bokaro Club. The Chief Engineer Shri A.N. Mishra inaugurated the function and distributed artificial limbs among the physically handicapped persons already examined on 16/03/08. Altogether 90 artificial limbs, polio caliper, hand, leg and hearing instruments were distributed. The chief guest in his speech praised B.V.P. for rendering such services and assured full help from DVC. State General Secretary Shri Anil Kumar, Zonal Organising Secretary Shri G.P. Singh, Dr.A.M. Mishra & Secretary Shri P.K. Ambastha also addressed the function.

Vivekananda, A.P.West : Branch held its Annual General Body meeting on 17 Feb.08 at Shivani High School, Shrinagar Colony. The branch members and other donors contributed Rs. 50,000/- for providing 50 artificial limbs to physically challenged persons.5 persons provided these limbs during the meeting. Shri K.Ch. A.V.S.N. Murthy was the Chief guest. More than 16 members entertained the gathering of 75 members by singing patriotic & devotional solo songs. 

Dr.Kitchlu, Ludhiana, Punjab North : The branch organised a Vikalang Sahayata Camp at Viklang Sahayata Kendra in association with BVP Charitable Trust (Punjab). In this camp artificial limbs were provided to about 20 needy persons. The branch handed over an amount of Rs. 26,600/- donated by various members for the purpose to the trust. In addition an amount of Rs. 12,000/- towards members' share of Viklang Sewa was also given to the trust. 

A number of institutions are working in the city for the training and rehabilitation of special children suffering from various disabilities. The heads of these institutions and the teachers are rendering very valuable service to the society. Dr. Kitchlu branch organized a programme to honour the heads and teachers of these institutions. The programme was held on 16.12.07 at the school for the deaf, Humbran road, Ludhiana. In this programme 30 teachers and heads of 6 institutions were honoured. These institutions are school for the deaf, VRTC, Darpan, Ek Prayas, Ashirwad and Nirdosh. The teachers were presented with mementoes and their contributions were highlighted. Special children from various institutions presented cultural items, which were no less in quality than ordinary children. Cash prizes of more than Rs. 2,000/- were given by various members to the children presenting these items. 

The programme was presided over by Ms. Suvarasha Kalra, Honorary Secretary, School for the Deaf. Dr. Mrs Sushma Jaiswal, Dean, College of Home Science, PAU was the chief guest. Sh. V.K.Goyal, Chief Executive of M/S Vardhman Textiles Limited and Shri A.K.Mehta, Zonal Co-ordinator, ICAR, PAU were the guests of honour. 

All of them lauded the unique effort of Bharat Vikas Parishad in motivating the teachers of schools for special children.

 Karimganj, Assam : Branch organised the 16th artificial limbs measurement and delivery camp on 02.03.2008 at Karimganj college. 83 patinets registered their names of which 18 physically handicapped were identified for providing artificial limbs, callipers, shoes etc. Earlier on the day 17 physically handicapped who were identified in our pervious camp were fitted with artificial limbs, callipers, shoes etc. Dr. Nandi Purkayastha, Retd. Principal, Silchar, Medical College and Hospital, Dr. B.P.anda, Physiotherapist, South City Hospital Pvt., Ltd.,Silchar and Dr. T.K.Banik did a yeomain's jole. 

The camp was sponsored by Shri Laxmi Narayan Jain in memory of his beloverd wife late Monvor Devi Jain.

 Bokaro Thermal, Jharkhand : Branch organised Viklanga Sahayata Shivir at Bokaro Club on 16.03.2008. Altogether 130 cases were examined and about 90 cases were found fit for getting artificial limbs such as hand, leg, shoes callipers, streches and hearing aid. The programme was inguarated by the chief engineer cum project head
 Mr. A.N.Mishra.

 Davanagere, Karnataka South : Branch in association with Mutha Badarmal ji Sonidevi Charitable Trust, conducted Vikalang Sahayata Camp from 1st March to 4th March, 2008. 200 persons were benefitted from the camp free of cost. The entire cost of conducting the camp estimated around Rs. 2.5 lakh was donated by Shri Champalal B. Dalaria, Executive Member on the eve of his 60th birth anniversary.

Shri S.C.Mundia, Industrialist and Director, Mahaveer Vikalang Kendra, Gujarat Research and medical Centre, Ahmedabad was in charge of the camp. 

Shri N.Daulath Rao, National Additional Secretary General and Shri A.S.Natraj, Zonal Secretary were present at the Inaugural programme. Shri S.R. Hegde, President of the branch presided over the function. Mathaji Yoganandamayi Sadhanashram, Davanagere blessed the participants. 

Himachal Pradesh : Bharat Vikas Parishad Vikalang Punarvas Sansthan, Nagrota Bagwan organised Vikalang Sahayata Camp on the eve of Lidbar Mela on 27th March, 08. Dr. B.L.Patheja, Senior regional Manager, Punjab National Bank, Dharmashala was the chief guest and Shri R.P.Sharma, BDO, Nagrota Block was the guest of honour. 8 Vikalangs were fitted with artificial limbs, one was given a wheel chair, one poor vikalang girl was given financial assistance to pursue her studies at the graduation stage of H.P.Univercity. One computer trained vikalang is to be rehabilitated by providing a copmputer in a school and employing him as a computer tutor. The Punjab National Bank sponsored the camp.

Project patron Mrs. Swaran Lata Pratap welcomed the guests. The project manager Shri Ram Chand Mehta threw light on the working of this Sansthan and the benevolent role of the doctors. Chairperson of Shri Roshanlal Sood Charitable Trust, Pathiar donated Rs. 11,000/- for the welfare of the Vikalang Students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir and Rainbow International School. Students sung National and Devotional songs and won appreciation of the audience.

 Alaknanda, Delhi South : The branch organised a free "Vikalang Sahayata and Help to the Needy Shivir" on 2nd March, 08. Over 175 persons participated including 115 beneficiaries. The items provided to them included : artificial foot 5, polio calliper 3, crutches 4, tricycles 4, C.V.chair 2, walking sticks 2, talking calculator 1, audio cassette player    & recorder 1, scholarships to blind students 5, stationery to needy and  poor students 70 and sewing machines 15 to girl trainees who completed the course in tailoring. The total expenditure was over Rs. 75,000/-. In addition, the branch contributed Rs.1.25 lakh towards construction of one room at the Vikalang Hospital. Shri Namo Narain, President, announced a contribution of Rs.1 lakh for the construction of an impressive Entrance Gate in memory of one of his dear ones.

Shri S.D.Gupta, former member of railway bord and Philanthropist, was the chief guest. The main speaker, Shri Nidhish Gupta, in his brief address highlighted the need for this Vikalang Hospital and requested generous contributions from the members and their friends.

Gujarat : BVP Vikalang Kendra arranged camps in different parts of Gujarat. 1st camp was held at Rajkot in last week of December, 07 by our Anandnagar branch and sponsored by Naginbhai Zagada. 237 articles to help needy persons were distributed. 2nd camp was held at Balasinor in 1st week of January, 08 and was sponsored by KMG Hospital. 21 articles to handicapped people were distributed. 3rd camp was held at Shankheswar arranged by Shankheswar branch and sponsored by Shri Ramanlal Daga. From the last four years every year this camp is held on the Anniversary of Jain temple. With the help of Shri Narpatji Kanungo, N.G.B. member, 164 articles we given on 26th January, 08. 4th camp was held at Bhiloda with the help of our Paldi branch. 40 articles given to the handicapped people.

Greater Kailash-1, Delhi South : Branch organised a Vikalang Sahayata and Punarvas Shivir on 20.01.08 at Arya Samaj permises. Over 250 persons participated including around 150 beneficiaries. The items provided to them were artificial limbs, polio calipers, baisakhies, polio surgical operations, bicycles, cycle rickshaws, Braille paper to blind school blankets, motorized sewing and other sewing machines. The total expenditure on the Shivir was over Rupees Two Lakhs which was donated by several donors and philanthropists. The function was graced, among other dignitaries, by Sh. Jai Bhagwan Goel, philanthropist, as Chief guest and was presided over by Sh. S.K.Wadhwa, National Addl. Secretary General. Sh. S.S. Jain, National Chairman, Vikalang Sahayata and Punarvas Yojana spoke at length about the need of this yojana under which lakhs of Vikalangs have benefited during the last several years. He urged the Delhi State (South) adhikaris and others, to raise funds to meet construction work of the building for Vikalang Sahayata Kendra under the aegis of Delhi Bharat Vikas Foundation in Dilshad Garden. Sh. Wadhwa explained the importance of several sewa-oriented projects of BVP to help Viklang, poor and needy and praised the efforts of the branch for rendering excellent service to such people.

: A State level Mega Camp for the welfare of the disabled was held on 2nd Dec.,07 at Roorkee. The highlights of the camp are as under:-

1954 disabled persons were registered in the camp out of which 1490 were physically handicapped and the rest of other categories. The team of C.M.O. Haridwar issued disability certificates to about 295 persons. 

The District Disability Recourse Center, Bhagwanpur, under the leadership of Dr. Rajeev Kumar, checked 415 persons out of which 12 Tricycles, 25 wheel chairs, 40 sets of crutches and 20 sticks for blinds were distributed on the same day. The balance of 318 needy persons will be given the required material on 3rd Feb., 08 here in Roorkee. 

The Bajaj Institute of Dehradun selected about 80 patients for Hearing Aids, out of which 45 Hearing Aids were distributed on the same day.  Gokul, a Society for the Physically Challenged from Dehradun checked 25 needy for Polio Corrective Surgery and the Operations will now be done at Dehradun. 

Bhagwan Mahaveer Vikalang Sahayata Samiti from Ambala Cantt. checked about 105 people and selected 31 for Limbs, Calipers and Crutches, which will be distributed on 3rd Feb., 08.

A team of Indian Railways registered about 580 disabled and will help them in issuing concessional Railway Passes.
A team from K.L.Polytechnic, Roorkee registered about 150 persons for training of various courses, under the Non-formal scheme of Govt., of India. In addition to the 3 months free training they will get a stipend of Rs. 5000/- each.  A team of small scale industries association Roorkee also registered about 110 needy for employment and will now circulate names within their members to help these people get job.The State Bank of India, main branch, Roorkee and Roorkee School for Deaf informed the handicapped about the facilities which they can avail for rehabilitation from these centers. 

A team of Samaj Kalyan Vibhag, Haridwar registerd about 200 needy persons for pension and other facilities etc.  The camp was totally controlled and managed by 125 N.S.S.valunteers from K.L.Polytechnic , Roorkee in addition to the members of BVP. 

The chief guest on the occasion was Honorable Shri Harbans Kapoor, Speaker Vidhan Sabha, Uttrakhand, and guest of Honour was Honorable Madan Koushik, Ganna, Abkaari and Shiksa Mantri, Uttrakhand. In addition the programme was felicitated by Shri V.K.Gupta,from Meerut Regional President, Region 4. In this camp a booklet was published for the awareness of the disabled. 

The programme was held under the Presidentship of Shri A.C.Ohri, State President and Shri Raj Kumar Chauhan, General Secretary.

Delhi North - Delhi North Prant  organised a Viklang Sahayata Camp in December, 2007 where 1,250 handicapped persons were supplied artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles, wheel chairs, hearing aids etc.  Smt .Neera Kumar, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment was the Chief Guest .  She commended the efforts of the Bharat Vikas Parishad to empower  our disadvantaged brethren. Former Governor Shri Kedar Nath Sahni was among the special guests  who graced the occasion.

Punjab East - Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab run by BVP Punjab and Jammu-Kashmir celebrated FICCI National award and honoured its 65 Honorary Trustees on Sunday the 25th Feb. 2007 at Ludhiana in Hotel Gulmor. National Working President Sh. R.P. Sharma was the Chief Guest.

In this program the Trust honoured 65 Honorary Trustees who helped the Trust by donating themselves or collecting from others a minimum of Rs 1 lac. The Trust honoured one MP  Lala Lajpat Rai who gave Rs.42.00 lac from the M.P.L.D FUND. One builder Sh. M.C. Bhatia who made Polio Surgery Hospital gave Rs.35 lac. One industrialist Sh. Madan Bassi's family  donated one floor in their brother's name Sh. Hari Bassi and others also.

Trust Finance Secretary Sh. Yash Paul Gupta announced that Bharat Vikas Parishad is going to start Polio Surgery Hospital on the eve of Mahavir Jayanti with Polio Surgery Camp. A huge response was received from the audience. Families from Chandigarh announced to give one lift worth Rs.6 lac. BVP Branches and others Sh. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon M.P. Ludhiana announced Rs.5 lac, from M.P.L.D FUND for trust hospital.

One major achievement was an announcement by Sh. Avinash Rai Khanna M.P. from Hoshiarpur to adopt one village for overall development in Hoshiarpur District with the help of BVP as BVP is developing villages in other states. (MP and MLA's can give financial help for any kind of development only for their area from which they are elected).

Alaknanda, Delhi South : (a) Viklang measurement camp was held on 11.02.2007 wherein 68 viklangs were identified including 17 for hearing aids.

(b) Viklang distribution camp was held on 18.02.2007 at Arya Samaj Hall, G.K. II.Shri Naresh Kumar Gupta was the Chief Guest.

Help to Needy Scheme:- Under this scheme, Walkman -2, duplicator -1, cassettes -350, harmonium -1, dholak -1 & 50 school bags were given to school children. A cheque for Rs. 10,000/- for scholarships to handicapped children in Balwant Rai Mehta Academy G.K. II New Delhi was also given.

Medical Camp was held on 18.03.2007 in Godawari Aptts,  in which tests for bone density, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar & ECG were also done. Orthopedic, Diabetic & Cardiology consultations were given by specialists.

Greater Kailash-I : Medical Services, Our Homoeo Dispensary at Khanpur under Dr.Gita Garg had treated 362 patients during Feb. and 39 patients at Sant Nagar Allopathic Dispensary. Dr. (Smt) Vimla Tiku had also joined the Allopathic Dispensary to serve the residents once a week ie on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:0 p.m. Dr.A.K. Seth continued to attend the dispensary on Mondays & Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Nagrota Bagwan, Himachal Pradesh West: Viklang Punarvas Sansthan, Nagrota Bagwan organized its Annual function on the eve of Lidbar Mela on 27th March, 2007 in the Viklang Sansthan premises. Nine persons were given artificial limbs/appliances by the President Nagar Panchayat, Shri Kuldeep Dhiman.

Among other activities for the coming year, an animal shed is slated to be erected in the compound of the local Vaterinary Hospital with estimated cost of Rs.70 thousand which will be dedicated to the public on Baisakhi day. The animals coming to the hospital for treatment with their owners had no shelter, hence this project has been undertaken.
