The Project
Primary purpose of this programme is to STRENGTHEN in the minds of children the idea of respecting their parents & teachers, whose blessings will enable them to be successful in life.
Under this programme, the representatives of Bharat Vikas Parishad visit selected Schools, Colleges or any other Institutions (SCIs) in and around their areas to express thanks and gratitude to the teachers and congratulate the meritorious students. The most important aspect of the program that makes it a Special one is that the students are encouraged to take the Blessings of teachers & parents by touching their Feet.
This is extremely important to redevelop the fast deteriorating Teacher – Student relationship and inculcate humbleness in the mind of children.
The Procedure for conducting the Programme
(Preferably, in General Assembly of Students in the presence of the parents of Awardee students)
- Welcome by SCI Principal or the Head.
- Brief Introduction of BVP and its activities at Centre, Prant and Branch levels – by BVP Member/s.
- Talk on “Significance of Parent / Teacher / Student relationship” by a BVP Member.
- Taking of Oath by all the persons attending the Program.
- BVP Members honoring School Principal and the Trustees.
- BVP Members honoring selected Students by giving them certificates.
- Vote of Thanks – by BVP Member.
- All the students offer flowers to all their Teachers as a mark of respect and take their Blessings by touching their Feet.
- In case of large numbers, the students are divided in several groups to take blessings from 1 or 2 teachers and the seating arrangement should be made accordingly to save time and chaos.
- Every Branch organises a separate program of Teachers Meet at one place for honouring the Teachers of X and the seating arrangement should be made accordingly to save time and chaos.

I Solemnly Resolve That I Will Always Pay Due Respects To My Parents, Teachers, Women And Elders.
I Will Discharge My Duties And Responsibilities Keeping In Mind The National Culture, Traditions, Moral Values And Civil Rights.
I Will Neither Smoke Nor Consume Any Narcotic Products In Any Form.
Suggested Criterion for selection of Teachers & Students for Felicitation:
For Teachers: ( felicitation at Teachers Meet of participating schools)
- Principal, Vice-Principal, Head Master / Mistress.
- Who has been longest in service with the School / SCI?
- Whose efforts have been recognized / awarded / honoured by Central / State / Prestigious Institutions / Body in any field.
- Who has been sent abroad in Teachers Exchange Program?
- Who has authored books or written articles for good causes.
- Who have excelled in any extra-curricular activities?
- Whose subject result was 100% in the last Board/University/Institution Examination.
For Students
- Who has stood First in the Class.
- Who is School Captain or House Captain or Sports Captain, etc.
- Who has participated in the National / State Parade on Independence Day or Republic Day (15th August or 26th January).
- Who has scored highest marks in the school in any subject in the Board / University / Institution Examinations.
- Who has won at any National / State / Prestigious Competitions.
- Who has been honoured by Central / State / Prestigious Institutions.
- Who possess extra-ordinary talent in Sports, Cultural Activities, Painting, Arts & Crafts, Music, Debate, etc.
- Who has taken part in NCC, Junior Red Cross, Scouts & Guides, Mountaineering, etc.
Parishad adopted this programme from the year 2001-02. The programme should be held during the period 1st April to 15th October and a report sent to Prant by 31st October.

गुरु वन्दन छात्र अभिनन्दन
भारत में गुरु-शिष्य सम्बन्धों की एक आदर्श परम्परा रही है। गुरु वन्दन-छात्र अभिनन्दन इसी आदर्श परमपरा के संरक्षण एवं संवर्द्धन का प्रयास है। साथ ही यह शिक्षा एवं नैतिकता के गिरते स्तर को रोकने का एक माध्यम भी है। यह प्रकल्प गुरु और शिष्य के मध्य आत्मिक संबंधों का सृजन करता है तथा छात्रों के मध्य इस मूल्य को विकसित किया जाता है कि गुरु के उचित मार्गदर्शन के बिना प्रगति सम्भव नहीं है, तो दूसरी ओर शिक्षकों में उनके अक्षर के तीन मूल्यों-शिष्टाचार, क्षमाशीलता और कर्तव्य परायणता-को ग्रहण करके उनमें यह भाव सुदृढ़ किया जाता है कि उनके ऊपर देश के भावी कर्णधारों को उचित मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करने का गुरुतर उत्तरदायित्व है।
परिषद् के ‘गुरु वन्दन-छात्र अभिनन्दन’ प्रकल्प में प्रतिवर्ष लगभग 5 हजार विद्यालयों से 15 लाख छात्रों की सहभागिता होती है। इसके आयोजन में, शाखाओं के पदाधिकारी विद्यालयों में जाकर कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करते हैं। स्कूल के प्राचार्य/प्राचार्या, दीर्घकालीन सेवारत प्राध्यापकों, किसी विशिष्ट क्षेत्र में सम्मानित अध्यापकों, पुस्तक लेखन, शिक्षाणोत्तर गतिविधियों तथा अपने विषय में श्रेष्ठ परीक्षा-परिणाम वाले अध्यापकों का वन्दन किया जाता है। दूसरी ओर, मेधावी छात्र-छात्राओं के साथ-साथ खेल-कूद, एन.सी.सी., सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों इत्यादि में विशिष्ट प्रतिभा वाले छात्र-छात्राओं का अभिनन्दन किया जाता है। इस कार्यक्रम की संस्कारपूर्ण विशिष्टता यह होती है कि छात्र-छात्राएँ अपने अध्यापकों को पुष्प भेंट कर उनके चरण स्पर्श कर आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करते हैं।
संस्कार प्रधान प्रकल्प ‘गुरु वन्दन-छात्र अभिनन्दन’ भारत विकास परिषद् का एक ऐसा प्रकल्प है, जिसके माध्यम से परिषद् भारतीय गुरु-शिष्य परम्परा की स्वतः सिद्ध सार्थकता को वर्तमान परिवेश में सर्वग्राह्य एवं चिरस्थायी बनाने हेतु कृतसंकल्पित है।
